QPAC in association with Merrigong Theatre Company and Richard Jordan Productions Ltd presents

BART MEETS THE BARD WHEN HOMER DOES SHAKESPEARE

It’s toured 150 cities worldwide, and now TV and stage star RICK MILLER will bring his international one-man mega-hit MacHomer to Brisbane for seven shows only from Sunday 24 to Saturday 30 January.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of (and the 404th year of ), Merrigong Theatre Company and Richard Jordan Productions bring to Australia almost certainly the funniest version of Shakespeare’s masterpiece ever performed (we know, it’s supposed to be a tragedy!).

Rick Miller’s side-splitting and inspired one-man Macbeth transplants Shakespeare into Springfield, home of television’s favorite dysfunctional family, The Simpsons. With Homer in the lead and Marge as Lady MacHomer, Miller recreates the voices of more than 50 characters from the iconic TV series.

Join the half a million Simpsons/Shakespeare fans on four continents who have made MacHomer one of the world's biggest little hits. What began as a fringe festival mash-up of The Simpsons and Shakespeare in 1995 has now evolved into a multi-media spectacular. MacHomer was completely revamped for its 10th anniversary tour in 2006, with new songs, characters, jokes and video images. Bookings phone Qtix 136 246 or go to www.qpac.com.au. More… …2
