THE SCHOOL CATCHMENT AREAS ORDER 2OO7

Coming into operation I't February 2007

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Department of Education by section 15(a) of the Education Act 2001r, and of all other enabling powers, the following Order is hereby made'-

1. Citation, commencement and interpretation (1) This Order may be cited as the School Catchment Areas Order 2007 and shall come into operation on the lstFebruary 2007. (2) In this Order "the order maps" means the 12 maps annexed to this Order and entitled "Map No.l referred to in the School Catchment Areas Order 2007" to "Map No.12 referred to in the School Catchment Areas Order 2007".

2. Catchment areas of primary schools (1) In relation to each primary school specified in column I of Schedule l, the area shown edged with a thick yellow line on one or more of the order maps and indicated by the corresponding number specified in column 2 of that Schedule is designated as the catchment area of that school. (2) The parishes constituted for purposes of the Roman Catholic Church and annexed to St Anthony's, St Joseph's and St Mary's churches are designated as the catchment area of St Mary's Roman Catholic School, Douglas. (3) There are no designated catchment areas for St Thomas' Church of England Primary School, Douglas and the Bunscoill Ghaelgagh, St John's.

3. Catchment areas of secondary schools (1) Subjectto paragraphs (2) and (3), inrelationto each secondary school specified in column 1 of Schedule2,the areas designated by article 2 as the catchment areas of the corresponding primary schools specified in column 2 of fhat Schedule are together designated as the catchnient area ofthat school.
