COUPLES SHOOTS LOW PRACTICE ROUND PRIOR TO HOMETOWN TOURNEY Fred Couples grew up in Seattle and learned the game of golf in part at Jefferson Park Golf Course, so even he admits that he does a little more to prepare for the Boeing Classic. In meeting with the media Thursday after his Pro-Am round, he told reporters about shooting 59 from the blue tees at Broadmoor Golf Club Wednesday as he played a round with some friends. His Friday playing partners Bernhard Langer and Jeff Maggert also met with the assembled reporters Thursday in the Media Center. For transcripts of all three press conferences, visit http://www.boeingclassic.com/media.php.

2015 BOEING CLASSIC WILL BEGIN WITH FANS LOOKING UP One of the unique features of the Boeing Classic throughout its history is the way the tournament starts. At 11:20 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, before the first tee shots are taken, a Korean Air Boeing 747-8 jet will circle TPC Snoqualmie Ridge, line up with the 18th fairway, and fly up and over the clubhouse to start the event. The airplane flies at about 1,000 feet over the area, and pilots operate the airplane under strict flight rules, and with the full support and permission of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Transportation Safety Authority (TSA).

KOREAN AIR PRO-AM WRAPS UP WITH FINAL ROUNDS THURSDAY The Korean Air Pro-Am concluded Thursday with two more sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The two-day competition was won by the team of Kazuomi Sakai, Shinichi Teranishi, Nobutoshi Gonda, and Kenji Mizuguchi with a two-round total of 108, playing with Rod Spittle on Wednesday morning and with Brian Henninger Thursday afternoon. Wednesday’s low round of 49 was posted by professional and amateurs Mitch Boyle, Jason Xydis, Michael O’Brien, and Billie Jo O’Brien. The team of Champions Tour Pro and 2015 Hall of Fame Inductee, Mark O’Meara and amateurs John Wojick, Derek Kerr, Monty Oliver, and Shuichi Fujimura shot Thursday’s low round with a score of 53.
