COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS ACTIVATE CENTER ZAC DALPE OFF INJURED RESERVE AND ASSIGN TO AHL’S

COLUMBUS, OHIO --- The have activated center Zac Dalpe off Injured Reserve and assigned him to the Cleveland Monsters, Columbus’ affiliate after clearing waivers, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Dalpe, 28, has missed the past four games with an upper body injury suffered on Monday, November 6 at the New York Rangers. He has recorded 13 minutes in 10 games with the Blue Jackets this season, including making his club debut on Oct. 6 vs. the New York Islanders.

The Paris, Ontario native has registered 12 goals and 12 assists for 24 points with 36 penalty minutes in 138 career games with the Blue Jackets, , , and since making his NHL debut in 2010-11. He has added 97-93-190 in 270 career AHL games with the Monsters, , , , and . Claimed off waivers by Columbus from Minnesota on Feb. 27, 2017, Dalpe was originally Carolina’s second round pick, 45th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft.

Tonight’s game between the Blue Jackets and Rangers from Nationwide Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET.
