PLAYER INFORMATION COVID-19 CHAMPIONSHIP POLICIES

The PNW Four-Ball Championship Committee cares deeply about the health, safety, and well-being of our players, as well as everyone at our host facilities. The intent of the policies and guidelines is to minimize potential exposure to COVID-19 by utilizing publicly available guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), but the Committee cannot guarantee a risk-free environment. Everyone is responsible to do their part by following these guidelines to make our championships as safe as possible. The policies and procedures may be updated and/or modified at any time.

Before arriving on-site for a practice round or championship, if you feel sick or show any symptoms of COVID-19, or if within the last fourteen days you have felt sick, have shown any symptoms of COVID-19, have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or have been in close contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19, we request that you stay home and notify us before your starting time. If you are unable to start the championship due to any of these, a refund will be granted. Social distancing must be practiced at all times by maintaining a minimum 6-foot distance from others. A mask or facial covering should be worn when a 6-foot distance cannot be met and may be required in some areas in accordance with State guidelines (including entering clubhouse or F&B areas). Wash your hands frequently. If you are unable to wash your hands, use hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer will be available on the starting tee and at the scoring area. Gatherings are prohibited –players are asked to leave the host facility after their round is complete unless dining in designated areas. If there is a possibility you might be in a playoff, we ask that you still leave the host facility, and we will contact you well in advance with instructions on returning to the host facility that same day. Players are asked to refrain from handshakes, hugs, and high-fives. Practice range stations will be spaced to promote social distancing. Practice balls will be set out at each station, and practice putting green cups will be removed or modified. Additional restrictions will be enforced during competition; please reference the Local Rules section. Traditional paper scoreboards have been eliminated to reduce areas of player and spectator congestion. TV leaderboards will be utilized at certain championships. Players and spectators can use the USGA Tournament Management app to follow live scoring using the event GGID. HOST COURSES

Due to the nature of the events, and not having hole-by-hole scores for all players, we are unable to post scores to the GHIN System. We will post the adjusted slope and rating on the tournament results page and players must post to GHIN their most likely scores on the day of competition using the adjusted slope and rating provided.

LOCAL RULES

Local rules unique to each facility will be provided at each course prior to the start of play.

EVENT LOCAL RULE - FLAGSTICK

For the safety and well-being of all, the flagstick is to not be touched and must remain in the hole at all times. A player is prohibited from making a stroke with the flagstick knowingly removed from the hole or has authorized someone to attend the flagstick and makes a stroke with the flagstick removed. EVENT LOCAL RULE - BUNKERS

In alignment of COVID-19 golfing restart rules the committee has decided to remove all bunker rakes from the course. Per USGA suggestion we will played preferred lies which would allow a player to place the ball elsewhere in a bunker without penalty.

A ball that comes to rest in a bunker may be marked, lifted, cleaned and dropped within one club length, no nearer the hole. Before being lifted, the spot of the ball must be marked· The ball must be dropped from knee height and both land in and come to rest within the relief area within the bunker. The area in which a player intends to drop may not be improved in any way, including smoothing, raking, kicking or any other action that will materially improve the conditions of their stroke. The act of using a club to measure the one club-length area is permitted, provided it is done in a reasonable way and does not materially improve the area in which the player intends to drop. Upon exiting the bunker, players should make the best effort possible to fill and smooth all footprints.

PACE OF PLAY POLICY

We want all players to enjoy competing in the PNW Four-Ball Championship. Pace of play may differ depending upon the venue, weather and course conditions. Every player is accountable for playing at an acceptable pace; therefore we need your help. Please observe the following guidelines to help ensure a pleasant tournament experience for all:

Make sure to keep pace with the group in FRONT of you. The group behind should keep pace with your group and so forth. Go directly to your ball. If sharing a golf cart (at GM or THC), drop-off the player farthest from the hole then proceed to the other ball. Be ready to play when it is your turn. Keep practice strokes and time taken to read putts to a minimum. Play a provisional ball if your original ball may be lost or out of bounds. Keep time taken at the snack bar or between nines to a minimum.

If everyone does their part, then 4½ hours should be the maximum time taken to play a round of golf. Following the lead of the USGA, rules 5.6a – 5.6b(I) will be in effect. PRACTICE

Prior to and after a round in stroke play, a player may practice on the designated practice areas. Rule 5.2b covering practice in stroke play is modified in this way: A player may not practice on the competition course before or between rounds. Penalty for breach of Local Rule, see Rule 5.2.

GPS & RANGE FINDERS

In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, and uses it for those other conditions the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is two strokes for the first breach of this rule and disqualification for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

PROHIBITED USE OF AUDIO EQUIPMENT

Rule 4.3 is modified in this way: During a round, a player is not allowed to use an electronic device to listen to music or other audio (such as podcasts or the like), including by using speakers, headphones or earbuds. Penalty for breach of Local Rule - see Rule 4.3

CODE OF CONDUCT

Committee expects all contestants, caddies, gallery, and guests to exhibit proper conduct and behavior on the golf course and anywhere on club property during the PNW Four-Ball Championship. Unbecoming conduct or behavior may be grounds for immediate disqualification, at any time. The following are some examples of unbecoming conduct or behavior:

Repeated use of loud, abusive, and/or profane language Throwing and/or breaking equipment (club, ball, etc.) in anger or frustration Damaging any courses, and/or fellow contestant property Public criticism or verbal abuse of host club, officials, staff, or fellow contestants Potential endangerment of others Other conduct deemed unbecoming
