Riz Ahmed's (Golden Globe nominee, Sound of Metal) recent performance of The Long Goodbye: Livestream Edition returns on-demand for a limited time. Available to stream, the digital performance blends music, storytelling, and theater to tell Ahmed's journey. Written, filmed, and performed by Ahmed, the unique theatrical experience first streamed on Saturday, December 19, 2020, to a sold-out livestream audience. Due to the one-off show's popularity and interest in the performance, The Long Goodbye: Livestream Edition will stream on-demand for a limited time—from January 28, 2021, to March 1, 2021.

The show is presented by WeTransfer and developed especially for the digital realm. Weaving storytelling, music, and immersive sound to guide audiences through an emotional landscape, the digital performance is a companion piece to last year's The Long Goodbye album and the live stage show commissioned by Manchester International Festival and Brooklyn Academy of Music that was due to take place before the pandemic.

In 2020, the Emmy Award-winning artist released the critically acclaimed album and the short film The Long Goodbye, and the standalone single "Once Kings." Ahmed also starred in Mogul Mowgli and Sound Of Metal, for which Ahmed won Best Actor at Gotham Film Festival.

The Long Goodbye album and short film (directed by Aneil Karia) have received several prestigious accolades. The record was included in the BBC 6 Music and Rough Trade "Album of the Year" 2020 highlights. The short film won Best Short at Raindance Film Festival, Best Special Project at the UK Music Awards, Best Digital Music Campaign, and a Lovie Award. Mogul Mowgli and The Long Goodbye are shortlisted for 8 BIFA Awards, a Critics Choice Awards nominated and won Best Narrative Short at South London Film Festival.
