QUOTE SHEET SATURDAY, JUNE 26, 2021 LOUISVILLE CITY FC 3 : 3 INDY ELEVEN – LOUISVILLE, KEN.

INDY ELEVEN INTERIM HEAD COACH MAX ROGERS

On the team’s reaction and bouncing back after conceding early…

“That was a real positive and it was said at halftime, the mentality to come back into the game was really good. Obviously disappointing to see the goals too early, but the reaction from the boys was good to stay in the game and kind of work their way back into it and then to go into halftime with the lead.”

On the team’s newfound attacking prowess...

“I think just a bit of clarity to the players in terms of what we're looking for. Even in attacking or when you're attacking, you need structure, you need an idea. With that the players actually become more free because they know the kind of parameters they are working in, and the players have always been quality and have that attacking quality. Again, it's just getting that belief across to them and giving them a structure that then gives them that creativity.”

On the team’s positive results against Sporting Kansas City II and Louisville City FC on the road ...

“Yeah, it's good to go unbeaten in those two games. Obviously, when you score three goals away from home, you would expect to win that, so it's disappointing that we conceded in the second half. Ultimately looking at the bigger picture we’ve now started a little unbeaten run, but there's lots of work still to do. We have to obviously get that covered on the training ground and continue to push forward because we need to get higher on the table.”
