Denbighshire County Councuil are presently working on the Local Development Plan (LDP) which will provide guidelines as to what can be built and where throughout the County over a 15 year period(2006 - 2021) and once approved will replace the existing Unitary Development Plan.

The development of the LDP is a lengthy process and they are presently at the Pre-Deposit phase which is the first formal draft of the plan. At this stage the LDP is still a strategic document and whilst it does not include individual development sites for each town and village or detailed policies, it sets out, amongst other things the overall levels of growth planned and the locations for larger development sites. It is important that you are aware of these proposals and contribute your ideas. Please find above the timetable for various exhibitions which Denbighshire County Council are holding throughout the county.
