11U – 12U Supplemental Rules

1. No metal cleats. 2. Infield Fly is in effect. 3. Dropped third strike is in effect. 4. “Big Barrel” Bats are permitted. 5. Lead-offs are permitted. 6. Balks will be called. No warnings will be given for balks. 7. A pitcher may pitch 3 innings per game. Only the starting pitcher can go back to pitching, if not pitched maximum 3 innings, and only if the pitcher remained on the field. If the starting pitcher was removed and put in the dugout, he may not return to pitching. One pitch thrown in an inning counts as an inning pitched. 8. A pitcher must be removed if he hits three batters in a game. A pitcher must be replaced after two visits to the mound by a coach. A pitcher must be replaced after 3 visits to the mound in a game. (A “team conference” during an inning constitutes as a trip to the mound). 9. No coach may touch or assist a runner during a play. This is an automatic out. 10. Coaches are permitted to warm up a pitcher at the start of an inning only. A coach may also warm up an outfielder at the start of an inning. If a team wishes to warm up a pitcher, during an inning a player catcher wearing a mask must be used with an additional player with a helmet and glove as a protector. 11. Nine defensive players will be in the field (six in the infield including the pitcher and catcher – and 3 in the outfield). Offensively, all dressed players will bat. 12. 10 Run Rule after 4 innings – (3 ½ if home team is ahead). 13. In the event of darkness or weather, a game will be considered complete at 4 innings (3 ½ innings if home team is ahead). If a game that has not reached the point of a complete game must be called for darkness or rain – it will be resumed at the exact point it was stopped. Umpire will make not of the time the game was stopped – when the game is resumed the game will finish whatever amount of time is left of the 1hr. 45min time limit. No complete games will be made up. 14. In the event of a tie after pool play, the following tie breakers will be used:
