Making it happen… Parish Giving Scheme – A brief Introduction

 The “Parish Giving Scheme” serves parishes with a professional donation management and Gift Aid service, generated through Direct Debit giving

 It combats the challenge of static giving by allowing donors to increase their giving in line with inflation

 Alongside a stewardship review it provides the opportunity for a step change towards a healthy giving base for all parishes The future… is now!

 If the Parish Giving Scheme becomes the principal funding method for your Church, you will have:  Inflation-proofed your giving  Maximized your cash-flow  Minimised your administration.  This will free up your parish to focus on mission and ministry priorities for growth The future… is now!

 Donations made through this scheme use a Direct Debit. This can be made on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis  Each donation is restricted to a parish church  The Parish Giving Scheme is a free service to parishes Ways to donate:

 An integrated approach means that the Parish Giving Scheme (the way we give) goes hand in hand with local Parish Stewardship Programmes (why we give)  Preaching & teaching about stewardship regularly, and communicating effectively (to different groups), is part of what we want to see in every church Keys to Success

We asked 10 parishes who have successfully developed the Parish Giving Scheme in their wider community to state what they felt were the key points of their success: What did they say? Keys to Success

• Differentiation / localism • Enthusiasm / energy • Clearly communicated vision • Work within your context • Clear and confident leadership • Credibility and trustworthiness • Individual giving makes a difference • Make a clear and direct ‘ask’ • Know your givers & build a relationship • Know your potential givers & build a relationship Why give to your church? “Send us now into the world in peace, and grant us strength and courage to love and serve you with gladness and singleness of heart; through Christ our Lord. Amen”.
