I have now been working with Imps for over 30 years!

This is the list of spares held currently by The Imp Club Ltd. We buy new after-market and “new old stock” spares from time to time at advantageous prices for sale to Club Members. We also stock re-manufactured parts, to which we apply our own quality control procedure. Please don’t forget that if the part you require is not listed here, then a member of the Spares Advisory Panel may be able to locate it for you – see the last section in this brochure. You can contact me and I will suggest a supplier who may be able to help.

If members have unwanted parts for Imps or variants, or are able to source any quantity of new spares which may beneﬁt other members, please contact the Spares Coordinator or Deputy Spares Coordinator. Some parts are now in short supply and your help is much appreciated.

1 Imp Club Spares Stock List and Prices – from September 2008

This is the list of spares held currently by The Imp Club Limited. We try to buy spares from time to time at advantageous prices for sale to Club Members. Please don’t forget that if the part you require is not listed here, then a member of the Spares Advisory Panel may be able to locate it for you (see previous Impressions issues or your membership pack).

Spares in this list are advertised at a cost which has been discounted to members for their own use. We regret that sales to non members, or for re-sale, may be subject to an additional cost. This applies to all stock, except items marked “*”. Since the Club is run on a voluntary basis for the mutual beneﬁt of all members we have to ask that buyers declare their membership number. Cost of membership is, at the time of writing, £24.00 per annum for the UK (plus £3.00 once-oﬀ joining fee). For overseas prices please contact the membership secretaries.

Information given in this list includes part number, description, availability and price at date of publication subject to P&P (see notes overleaf). We have listed the current stock with a guide to condition: New, A, B, C where A, B and C indicate a second hand item in condition ranging from “nearly as new” to “damaged but usable”. 5 Transaxle and Gearchange

Note: Clutch covers are currently hard to get and re-conditioning is proving problematic. If you have any used but reasonably good units please keep them for reconditioning. We can supply Laycock diaphragm and Borg and Beck spring and lever clutches note, the ones we supply are the correct ones for the Imp! Imp Club Spares (part of The Imp Club Ltd.) provides replacement parts for Hillman Imps and related classic cars as listed in these pages. This service is provided for bone fide members of The Imp Club to whom these conditions apply. The service is by post or personal collection, we do not deliver. The list describes the goods available and follows the terminology used in Rootes parts publications. The items provided are new, re-conditioned, re-manufactured or new-old stock to original specification as far as we can ascertain (there is a separate quality-control process). There are occasional “special offers” of other “accessories”.

The prices shown in this list are accurate at the time of publication and valid for one month thereafter. Items marked with “*” may however vary in price at any time as we depend on our suppliers for this information. We will quote an exact price to people making enquiries personally by letter, e-mail or by ’phone.

We currently are not VAT registered so there are no “hidden” costs. We are however obliged to add 5% or £1.00 (whichever is the greater) for handling of orders on cards or PayPal.

Delivery costs are simply the price of normal Royal Mail postage, usually ﬁrst class or Parcel Force if this is signiﬁcantly lower plus a small packing cost if required (we aim to re-cycle packaging), see below. We may choose to add insurance to high-value orders to protect against loss.

Any member of The Imp Club is entitled to use this service and to cancel or change their order prior to its dispatch. Once dispatched/ delivered, provided the parts have not been ﬁtted or otherwise “used”, we will refund any un-required parts returned at any time at the purchase price (if within one month) or at a price to be agreed at a later date. Postage and any other “one-oﬀ” charges however cannot be re-funded.

14 Postal Rates from April 2007

There is at present no handling charge, except 5% extra charge on credit card payments, and there is no VAT on goods. U.K. postage is charged at the following standard rates indicated by the symbol +letter following the price in the list. For instance for a set of front brake shoes at £12.00+PB you should send £16.95 which includes the Royal Mail cost for a parcel up to 1.5kg. Normal 1st class post is used for smaller items unless you speciﬁcally ask for faster delivery. Please include a ﬁrst-class stamp with your order or add on the price. A courier service may be used for body panels etc. which cannot easily be packaged. This is however expensive, prices typically starting at around £15.00 in UK. We would normally try to distribute large packages via the area centre network or at an AGM, committee meeting or National Weekend.
