3 METHODOLOGY

§ We pulled data from 27/05/2019 to 09/06/2019

§ DATA SOURCES: Online Media, Blogs, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & YouTube

§ REACH: potential readership of the posts based on the sum of followers for a post on social Media and audience of a website for articles

§ ENGAGEMENT : sum of the likes, comments, retweets and shares

§ ENGAGEMENT RATE: is only applied on social Media and is calculated base on reach and engagement.

§ PLACEMENTS: amount of product placements within Online, Print and Social Media.

§ Media IMPACT VALUE (MIV): Our Media impact value algorithm measures the impact of all relevant Media placements on all channels (online, social, print), inclusive of paid, owned, earned mediums in order to derive a quantitative number for performance outcomes. In order to capture the most accurate Media value for Fashion, Luxury and Cosmetics companies (FLC), our proprietary algorithm relies on widely shared criteria, such as audience and engagement, combined with FLC-specific market data and our internally engineered content quality score to deliver an accurate Media impact value.

§ Influencers : celebrities or Influencers or voices who spoke about the event.

§ Partners: designers and retailers speaking about the event.

4 MEDIA RANKING

Media have been rated manually by an industry expert to assess it's relevance towards the Fashion, Luxury and Cosmetics industry in terms of audience and content. The main criteria that are taken into account when scoring those Medias include the quality and specificity of the content as well as the quality of the audience (FLC targets or not).

According to this process each Media is ranked from 4 (= high quality, FLC-specific, Media) to 1 (= very low quality Media) or even 0 (= excluded from the panel):

4 : high FLC quality content and audience Example: vogue.com > High Quality + FLC specific = 4

3 : good FLC content and audience Example: nytimes.com > High quality + generalist = 3

2 : medium FLC content and audience msn.com > medium quality + generalist = 2

1 : low FLC content and audience dealnews.com > very low quality content + generalist = 1

0 : not detected as to be in the panel of the industry for the moment borsaitaliana.it > finance-focused = out of scope = 0
