Relaxed cycling through Austria's Lake - based in one hotel! The surrounding area of Salzburg with its beautiful lakes and the slightly hilly Flachgau region offer a much diversified landscape and are an ideal terrain for all cyclists. You will get to know the lakes Obertrumer See, , Grabensee, Wallersee, the small Egelseen lakes, lake Irrsee, and lake Mondsee. The Mozart city Salzburg, the birthplace of the Christmas Carol - Silent Night. Oberndorf, the monastery in Michaelbeuern, the collegiate churches at Mattsee and Mondsee, Castle Mondsee, and the Celtic city of Hallein with its tourist mine offer a great cultural aspect to the tour. Moreover, the Salzach meadows, farm fields, shady woods, and nice cycle routes along the lakeshores offer much scenic variety.

Fair Weather Cyclist: On the banks of the lakes and at the river Salzach, the routes are completely flat. In between, the terrain is mostly hilly. Mostly on cycling paths, and almost all the rest is on field and little-used side roads. There are only a few short sections on roads with more traffic.

On your way back, you will cycle between green meadows, through the rural countryside of the Alpine foothills to your hotel at Lake Obertrumersee.

Lake Wallersee Tour approx. 45 km Starting at Lake Day 7 Obertrumersee, you will cycle to Lake Wallersee. From Seekirchen (castle Seeburg) you will continue Departure or extension of your stay in Salzburg your trip on the Wallersee cycle path to the well-known farm Gut Aiderbichl (admission fee included in the tour package price!). From there, you will cycle at the foot of mount Tannberg to (village museum with cheese factory), down to lake Mattsee, and back to your hotel.

Day 4

Lake Mondsee approx. 45 km Today, you will cycle via the Egelseen lakes and through the Tiefsteinklamm gorge to Lake Wallersee. After passing the so-called Finsterloch you will have time for a lunch break with a hearty snack (included in the tour package price!). Afterwards, you will continue your tour to Lake Irrsee and Lake Mondsee and to the town of the same name – Mondsee – with its old castle and historic church. At the end of your day, you will be taken back to your hotel.

Day 5

Salzburg – Oberndorf approx. 45 km The day starts with a short transfer to Salzburg. On the Salzach riverside walk you will cycle comfortably to Oberndorf, the birthplace of the famous Christmas carol ■Silent Night■. On your way back to the Trummer Seen lakes, you can either cycle over or around mount Haunsberg.

Day 6

Hallein – Salzburg approx. 50 km The train will take you to Hallein (Celtic town, Celtic museum, salt mine). Then you will cycle along the river Salzach and via the castle Hellbrunn with its world-famous
