TASTING NOTES Chateau Gaby is a blend of three grape varieties - Merlot, and - grown on the clayey limestone hills of the estate. Lovely color, intense red with bright tints. Pretty, red fruit hints on the nose and in some vintages black fruit, too. Discretely woody that highlights the classy nature of this wine. Good, no-nonsense attack, moving attractively to red, then black fruit, very ripe, very elegant flavors with slightly toasted and spicy hints that linger on the finish.

Château GABY and Château GABY Cuvée are produced entirely from older vines grown on the limestone-rich hills of the GABY estate, making them some of the finest wines in Bordeaux

PRINCESS GABY

Princess Gaby is a blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Well-balanced with elegant flavors and fine tannins, the wine tastes of transformation. Strong on the nose with red fruits and licorice notes, Princess Gaby softens on the palate with a long finish and traces of vanilla. To add complexity, Princess Gaby is aged in barrels used to make the award-winning Château Gaby. The wine’s exceptional character is derived from Canon-Fronsac’s privileged climate, silica clay soil, and the expertise of a passionate team. At Château Gaby, we believe in pampering the grape as a whole fruit and respecting the environment. Our vintner works to pursue organic initiatives for the 20,000 bottles of Princess Gaby produced each year.

TASTING NOTES

Defined, bright fruit with powerful cassis and a sweet oak finish. Showing some flavour development gives earthiness and a hint of mushroom. (RH)

16.5/20 The opinion of Hachette Wine Guide Born of younger vines than Gaby (fifteen years against thirty-five), raised in barrels of one and two wines (a part in barrel nine for Gaby), this dense and dark wine displays an intense and complex bouquet of ripe red fruits, pepper and toast. Ample from the start, the palate seduces with its soft, velvety, rich and full character, supported by tannins both powerful and silky, and an elegant woody.

Chateau Du Parc, is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc matured in 50% new oak (medium toast). The wine has a rich red color, with a sheen and great intensity. It has a rounded and quite opulent bouquet with boysenberry jam and raspberry nose, quite modern in style. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and good acidity. Spicy and light wooden notes are present throughout.

Our suggestion is to serve Chateau Du Parc at 18°C (64°F) and to let the wine breathe for at least 60 minutes before enjoying. Our wine is best enjoyed after it has been decanted with sharp cheeses, red meat, succulent duck, or a fine cigar.

CHÂTEAU DU PARC

To the south, the vineyards are mostly gravel and sand based while the north consists of clay and limestone soils. The vineyards' terroir creates a natural drainage system; this coupled with the perfect exposure to the sun produce perfect ripening conditions for our grape varieties. Our vines average about 27 years before we replant new ones, this ensures we are producing the best wines from our vines.

TASTING NOTES

On the nose, the wooden, toasted and spicy notes stand out. Ripe red fruit notes are present. On the palate, it has a frank, very round onset with a beautiful evolution towards acidity. The red fruits are present throughout the tasting and the tannins are well blended and round. An elegant and smooth wine.

CHÂTEAU MOYA

Cotes de Castillon, with its rolling down steep slopes of hills and valleys created by the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, is one of the most recognized and fashionable appellations. Its vineyards are located east of Saint-Emilion and south of Fronsac which proves to be advantageous as it provides excellent exposure to the sun, and the climate is slightly warmer and drier than most of Bordeaux. It is devoted solely to the production of red wine as the dominant grape varieties planted are Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The wines are known for being concentrated, fruity and typified by strong blackcurrant notes. They also have a good price to quality ratio as well as the ability to enjoy young and age just as tastefully. Cotes de Castillon is also committed to environmentally sound practices and sustains one of the highest concentration of growers using either organic, biodynamic or self-sustaining farming techniques. Where battlefields once roared, vineyards now thrive. Cotes de Castillon is steeped in history and was actually named after the last battle Castillon la Bataille that ended the Hundred Years War in 1453 between England and France. Roman ruins, old churches and stunning chateaux provide a colorful glimpse into the regions rich past.

Château Auguste is a 74-acre Bordeaux Superieur estate located in the Right Bank region of Bordeaux within the Entre-Deux-Mers appellation.
