 The population of Chalkwell Ward in 2016 was 10,253.

 The population of Chalkwell Ward was 10,311 in 2014. This represents a 0.6% decrease from 2014 to 2016.

Health – 2011 Census Data

 132 residents said they were in very bad health. This was 1.3% of the population which was the same as for the population of Southend as a whole.
