    U.S. Citizenship Non-Precedent Decision of the and Immigration Administrative Appeals Office Services In Re: 7977790 Date: MAY 27, 2020 Appeal of Nebraska Service Center Decision Form 1-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker (Extraordinary Ability) The Petitioner, an assistant project scientist engaged in biomolecular and biomaterials research, seeks classification as an individual of extraordinary ability. See Immigration and Nationality Act (the Act) section 203(b)(l)(A), 8 U.S.C. § 1153(b)(l)(A). This first preference classification makes immigrant visas available to those who can demonstrate their extraordinary ability through sustained national or international acclaim and whose achievements have been recognized in their field through extensive documentation. The Director of the Nebraska Service Center denied the petition, concluding that although the record established that the Petitioner satisfied the initial evidentiary requirements, it did not establish, as required, that the Petitioner has sustained national or international acclaim and is an individual in that small percentage at the very top of the field. The matter is now before us on appeal. The petitioner bears the burden of proof to demonstrate eligibility by a preponderance of the evidence. Section 291 of the Act; Matter of Chawathe, 25 I&N Dec. 369,375 (AAO 2010). The Administrative Appeals Office (AAO) reviews the questions in this matter de novo. Kühn*a Metallosupramolecular systems are promising new tools for pharmaceutical applications. Thus, novel self- assembled Pd(II) coordination cages were synthesized which were exo-functionalized with naphthalene or anthracene groups with the aim to image their fate in cells. The cages were also investigated for their anticancer properties in human lung and ovarian cancer cell lines in vitro. While the observed cytotoxic effects hold promise and the cages resulted to be more effective than cisplatin in both cell lines, fluo- rescence emission properties were scarce.
