ASUN INTERNSHIP: Flex Intern (Administration & Media: PFL, CCSA, ASUN)

The ASUN Conference is accepting applications for an internship in conference administration and media. The 12-month temporary position will begin no later than September 16. Total 12-month stipend is $24,000.

The successful candidate will report to the Sr. Associate Commissioner of Governance and Student Success. The intern will provide support in media, championships, and administration. Conferences served include the (PFL), Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA), and the ASUN. The intern will work at the ASUN headquarters. ​ Weekend hours and evening work will be a component of the position. The ASUN is an equal ​ opportunity employer. The ASUN is an NCAA Division I conference with nine member institutions: Gulf Coast, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Lipscomb, Institute of Technology, U. North , U. North Florida and Stetson. in Louisville, Ky., joins the ASUN ​ for the 2020-21 academic year.

Primary Duties ● Assist the media relations staff with evening or weekend coverage of games ● Assist with the create of content and support of ASUN social media accounts ● Provide social media coverage (facebook, twitter, instagram), including Saturday game days, during the PFL season ● Assist with the compilation and distribution of ASUN and CCSA sport administration items, including, but not limited to, meeting agendas and summaries, host manuals, championship handbooks, and travel rosters ● Travel to and provide on-site support for specified ASUN and CCSA championships ● Provide institutional services support in rules education and NCAA programs ● Responsible for alternate and/or additional duties as assigned by the Commissioner

Qualifications ■ Bachelor’s degree required ■ Experience in event management or demonstration of required skills in a comparable field ■ General knowledge of sports sponsored by the PFL, CCSA and ASUN ■ Strong writing and computer skills ■ Ability to work independently and efficiently on a variety of time-sensitive projects
