The Basics : Step 1 : Download and Install Project 64 Emulator From Here.Install it on "C:/Program Files" So it will be. Step 8 : (NOTE: You must install Rice Video Plugin Before this step) Go to "Options -> Settings -> Configure Graphics Plugin -> Change the Video (graphics) plugin from Jabo's Video Plugin to Rice's Video Plugin 6.1.1 beta 10". Step 9 : One More BIG Thing , AND THIS IS DAMN IMPORTANT. Go To Settings -> Configure Graphics Plugin -> Texture Filters Tab -> Check "Load hi-res textures if available".Don't Screw this up ; if you did , all you'll get is some ghosts fighting. Step 10 : OK , Time For Some "Advanced" Stuff.Use any wrestler you want (I am Using Rob Van Dam by Tony : Download it Here.) Step 11 : After your character's file is extracted, open the folder to see if the files are all there. If you open the folder and you see another folder, you don't want that. If you have that problem, open the second folder (the folder inside the folder) and copy all of the files and paste them in the first folder and delete the second folder once they're moved. But, DO NOT delete any picture files or folders that say "Attire". You need to make sure that the folder that you are deleting is empty! Once your files are in the correct place, you're ready to move them into your game folder. Step 12 : Copy the Folder of your character to "C:\Program Files\Project 64 1.6\Plugins\hires_texture\ WWF No Mercy".Paste it there. Step 13 : Open your character's folder , and look for "WWF No Mercy.mpk".Copy the File To "C:\Program Files\Project 64 1.6\Save".Paste it There.Click "Yes" if they ask you for overwriting it. Remember , close Project64 if it is open before moving WWF No Mercy.mpk Step 14 : Open Project64 -> File -> Open ROM -> Locate WWF No Mercy ROM.If you have done everything correctly,you should see a Black screen with White Text for some seconds.(The Length of the Black Screen depends on how many wrestlers you have) Step 15 : Once the black screen is done , the game will load.From the Main Menu , Go to Commissioner -> Smackdown Mall -> Data Step 16 : Inside Data , You will see two tables titled "Game Pak" and "Controller Pak".You will see some spaces like "RVD" (OR your Superstar Name) below "Controller Pak". Step 17 : At the bottom of the screen , Select "Clone" option and Clone Your Superstar under any space on "Controller Pak". Step 18 : After Your Superstar is Cloned , You can select him as a Playable Character.Get Out of Smackdown Mall , and Test Your Superstar via an Exhibition Match.Your Superstar Should be in the "Edit 1" or "Edit 2" section. Step 19 : In order For the Perfect Execution of the MOD,you should follow the formula correctly to have Your Superstar Playable at Their Very Best.So, Follow The Formula,a .txt File Along With the Created Superstar,something like this : Follow The Formulas Correctly So That Your Superstar Displays in the Correct Way. Step 20 : Remember, you MUST follow the formula EXACTLY or it will not come out correctly at all! Well, because this content has something to do with gaming and pro-wrestling as blatantly spoiled in the title. So, just recently, I saw a few tweets in twitter from an account named barskio1 showing off animated images from the old N64 wrestling game called WWF No Mercy but modded with AEW or All Elite Wrestling talents. For example, in this tweet, it had an animated image of a wrestler named Q.T. performing a finishing move called the Lethal Combination. I would assume the wrestler in the animated image was Q.T. Marshall because he was tagged in the tweet. In this other tweet, it showed a wrestler named Dustin performing the destroyer or the Code Red on another wrestler named Kip. Again, I would assume the wrestlers in the image were Dustin Rhodes and Superbad Kip Sabian. There are more tweets with animated images showing various AEW talents like Pentagon Jr., Kazarian, Jon Moxley, Rey Fenix, Cody, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, etc. performing, not just, their finishing moves but other moves as well. The AEW mod for WWF No Mercy N64 is still in early and heavy development but it already has a playable release. Growing up, my friends and I were obsessed with Nintendo 64 wrestling games. That was all thanks to THQ, the AKI Corporation, and their AKI Engine. The AKI Engine made playing as your favorite on-screen personality simple yet refined, introducing a grappling system that allowed you to perform moves a heck of a lot easier than the Mortal Kombat -level button input-system other games used. Each wrestler had individual specials, taunts, and submission moves that reminded you of who they were supposed to represent, and lent itself to a variety of gameplay tactics depending on who you chose. WCW vs. nWo: World Tour in 1997 (aka Virtual Pro Wrestling 64 in Japan), and was then improved upon the next year with WCW/nWo Revenge , which included new wrestlers, animated entrances, weapons, and improved finishing moves. Alas, this would be the last game THQ and AKI would produce for WCW, as the WWF (now the WWE) swept in and grabbed the license out from under them, putting out WWF Wrestlemania 2000 and then WWF No Mercy , a game that is regarded to be one of the best, if not best, in the genre. Wrestlers gained further frames of animation, making motion more fluid; a story mode was introduced; the create-a-wrestler became a full-fledged feature, instead of just a pallet swap; and you could even fight backstage and in ladder matches. Still, fans of WCW were left wanting, as the rest of its attempts to get back into the video game world ( WCW: Mayhem and WCW: Backstage Assault ) were. bad. Very, very bad. Right around the time WCW disappeared and was absorbed into the ever-growing WWE, AKI stopped making dedicated wrestling games. Their last attempts were the Def Jam series, but even that ended after the Playstation 2, Gamecube and Xbox era. While AKI has not produced anything new officially, this didn't stop fans from wanting more. Enter the mod community, and WCW: Feel the Bang . Developed by GenHex, OSR, and WLF of the Nextwave-64 community, WCW: Feel the Bang is essentially the sequel to Revenge we never got. Even better, it's free. Utilizing the No Mercy engine, and running on the Project64 emulator, it injects brand new textures, facial sculpts, entrances and finishing moves for over 50 wrestlers from throughout WCW's history, including "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Diamond Dallas Page, Sting and Ric Flair. There are even deeper cuts like Billy Kidman, Disco Inferno, Ron Simmins and Sub-Zero clone, Glacier. There are over 30 different stages to choose from, and gameplay modes that weren't in other iterations of N64 WCW games such as ladder matches and battling inside the steel cage. One of the things that adds replay value to the game is Challenge mode, which you have to get through in order to unlock certain wrestlers. Want to play as Hogan? You have to defeat Hall and Nash on Hard in a handicap match. Feel like playing as La Parka? Hit your opponent 20 times with a steel chair on Expert mode. And yes, Eric Bischoff, the former head of WCW is a playable wrestler you can unlock if you take on the Imposter Sting in a steel cage. The creators of this mod really did their homework and pay homage to both the good and the bad, as you can even perform the dreaded "Finger Poke of Doom" that nearly ruined WCW's credibility as a company if you set up a match between Hogan and Nash. I personally skipped the music step, since Nintendo 64 quality sound just adds to the personality of the game (I will note that not every wrestler has their personal music included at this time, but most do). Not only is it free, but it's free fun. And please, let the rumors that AKI (now Syn Sophia) are working on an AEW game for current systems be true. With Triple Threat, I thought I had taken care of this, by giving myself three different companies to choose from concerning my picks for a roster. However, I found myself throwing in other wrestlers from different eras that didn't fit, such as C.M. Punk, Andre the Giant, and Lou Thesz. These guys were not around for the Monday Night Wars, I just felt like modding them, and wanted them in my game. My save was becoming a compilation save of my own mods. Why even fight it? This is my solution. Showdown 64: When Worlds Collide. No era constraints, only my imagination. The roster is based on who I am modding at the time. After the mod is completed, you will be able to download it and it will already be compatible with Showdown. The reasons this save will be released in this fashion is because I don't honestly know how much time I will be able to devote to this. Though the save will have work and DLC made for it for years to come, I go through periods where I do not have any time at all, as life happens to all of us. Download Project 64 2.1 here!
