BJC’s New Athletico Physical Therapy Affiliation Provides Expanded Options for Rehabilitation Services

BJC’s Cigna health plan participants and their covered dependents now have access to additional options for rehabilitation services through a new affiliation with Athletico Physical Therapy – one of the largest physical therapy and occupational therapy providers in the U.S.

Overview Our Athletico affiliation and associated BJC Total Rewards benefit is aligned with our BJC Strategic Direction to improve employee health by ensuring health plan participants receive timely access to high quality care.

BJC has 20 highly skilled, therapy locations that are supported by our hospitals. Expanding these therapy services with our Athletico affiliation will triple the number of therapy locations for our team members and their families, enhancing convenience and ease of access. BJC employees and dependents will be able to seek care at Athletico sites and receive the same benefit as if they went to a BJC hospital-based physical therapy site.

Athletico Clinical Affiliation Benefits to BJC Team Members and Covered Dependents • High quality adult physical and occupational therapy services • Expanded points of service – 40+ Athletico locations in Greater St. Louis, MO-IL; Farmington and Sullivan • $0 co-pay for Cigna health plan participants and their covered dependents • Telehealth/virtual care options and enhanced sanitation and hygiene practices for in-clinic visits to prevent the spread of COVID-19 • COVID-19 First Responder Program: Co-pay and co-insurance waived for first responders and licensed health care professionals diagnosed with COVID-19

3. Is this offering for adults and children? Though Athletico treats patients of all ages, the primary focus of the BJC/Athletico affiliation will be adult orthopedic care.
