School Health Promotion Campaign| July 26, 2013

From July 24 to July 26, students from our Five Star Schools in the Valle province participated in our school health promotion campaigns. With the goal of promoting healthy habits, the campaign focused on personal hygiene, hand-washing, oral hygiene, and lice prevention. An innovative aspect of this campaign has been the involvement of student volunteers in a Child-to-Child education strategy, where Miguel Molina’s own grandchildren received training to share health promotion facts and tips with 691 children through 85 talks conducted in 6 schools. This activity sows the seeds for the implementation of

this same strategy in all Five Star Schools within the next five AGENTS OF CHANGE years. Child participants also took part in daily chores at each school’s vegetable garden at the start of each workshop.
