MORATORIUM OF FINANCING (Financial Relief Scheme) DURING COVID-19 OUTBREAK
BANKS OFFER MORATORIUM FOR FINANCIAL RELIEF DURING COVID-19 OUTBREAK Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) has announced that its members are ready to assist borrowers who may be facing problems following the Covid-19 outbreak, options may include loan restructuring and rescheduling, and/or moratorium on loan repayment(s). The relief, however, depends on the bank's assessment of the case
What is a moratorium? A moratorium is the temporary deferment of monthly instalment payments from borrowers to banks without penalty or charges. This means that borrowers may not have to pay the monthly instalments for their loans for 6 months. The instalment payments will continue once the moratorium period is over.
