PFD Reminder ©© Jonathan Steelhead Moore Society of BC It was recently Safe Boating Week across Canada. An unfortunate reminder of how dangerous fishing can be was seen by a small East Coast community a few weeks ago when a young fisherman was lost to the sea. When he went overboard, he was not wearing a lifejacket.

They may get in the way and make it harder to haul gear and tend traps, but Natural Resources would like to encourage all members on the water to wear a PFD. It may be the difference between life and death if you go overboard.
