Established in 2001, Chongqing Nanfang Translators College of International Studies University (CNTC of SISU) is a joint venture created by Sichuan International Studies University and Chongqing South Group with the approval of Minister of Education in .

As one of the first private independent colleges in Chongqing under the new education reform, CNTC captures both the essence of it's parent university, innovation and liberty.

Since welcoming its first students in October, 2002, we have been dedicated to supporting students to develop into professionals, who combine major foreign languages with other professional job functions. We proactively embed globally influences and our local societies development needs into our curriculum. With our unique focus and features, CNTC aspires to build a first-class private language expert university in China.

Our College offers eight language programmes including English, French, Japanese, German, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and Italian. 70% of students are in these language programs.

Located in Chongqing, the youngest municipality in China and the largest inland city of rivers and mountains on the planet. CNTC is an expanding and successful university situated in a vibrant with over 3,000 years in culture and local culture. CNTC has two campuses of Yubei and Qijiang.

The Yubei Campus, in state-level , feature convenient transit, complete functions and well-equipped facilities. The Qijiang Campus has a picture-perfect environment in a suburban setting, which provides modern residence halls for teachers and students, high-tech teaching resources and class buildings as well as garden-like atmosphere.

School of English

The School of English is one of the earliest academic schools at CNTC, and currently the largest one in faculty and student number. The school offers BA Degrees’ in English and Translating & Interpreting. The English major program offered by SE has been listed by Chongqing Municipality Education Commission as “Key Discipline”.

School of International Business

The School of International Business offers both BA and BEs Degrees' programs. In the face of a complex and rapidly changing world, the SIB actively integrates its education into real business environment. The SIB has undergraduate programs in English (orientations in International , International Finance & Investment, International Logistics Management, Translation in International Business, and E-Commerce) and International Economics & Trade.

School of Literature and Journalism

The school has witnessed the development of CNTC and always move together in times of opportunities and challenges. The SLJ now offers undergraduate programs in Chinese Language and Literature, Chinese International Education, Journalism, Communication and Advertising. We boast up-to-date teaching equipment, including a municipal-level Digital Language Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, and a strong faculty team.

School of Asian Studies

The school is specialized in minority language teaching and currently offers BA Degrees’ in Korean and Japanese programs. The school of Asian Studies also takes responsibility for teaching Korean, Japanese and Arabic as the second language in other academic schools. The SAS has strong links with overseas teaching & training bases like Daiwa Academy Japanese Language and Japan-China College of Culture & Arts.

School of Western Studies

The School of Western Studies is established in August, 2015. Its predecessor is the School of Asian & European Languages, one of the most important schools at CNTC. The SWS now provides BA program s in German, French, Spanish and Russian. Besides, the school has qualified native-speaking teachers from these countries.

School of Management

The School of Management was established in 2004 and now offer Bachelor of Management Degree programs in Engineering Management (orientations in Construction Budgets & Accounts, Real Estate Development & Management, Architectural Decoration Techniques, International Project Contracting) and Hospitality Management. The SM has 56 qualified professors and lecturers, with registered constructors and associate constructors, property managers, senior engineers and engineers. The School has undertaken many important research projects and has published over 20 books and 180 essays and articles.

School of Arts

The School of Arts currently offers undergraduate programs in Product Design, Fashion Design, Visual Communication Design, Environmental Design, Painting and Fine Arts. CNTC has been attaching importance to the development of the School and the cultivation of professionals with forefront vision and competitive capabilities.

School of Music

Founded in January, 2012, The School of Music is young and vigorous. The School of Music currently has 64 full-time teachers (with 20 professors and associated professions). Among the team, there are 6 Doctoral Degree holders, with 79% have a Master’s Degree or above. The SM has BA Degree programs in Music Performance and Musicology. Besides, the School of Music is speeding up on academic research and discipline construction.
