MY GAME CONCEPT

• For this project we were asked to make a game in the allotted time while recording research and thought paths to show the progression from a concept to a playable experience. • For the first step we were asked to put together a presentation to lay out our initial thoughts and show research to show how well our games could do on the market as well as making our games suitable for our target audiences. • In this PowerPoint I plan to express my thoughts and feelings behind possible concepts and ideas that I have for my game. • I wont be coming to many final decisions in the design of my game however throughout this I hope to come to a conclusion on what type of game I would like to make and possible design aspects of the game that I have thought about. I will briefly talk about everything I thought about however to save time I want to mainly discuss on the aspects and ideas that I think would really make my game stand out and prove to you and myself that I can make a game to be proud of. • I’ve planned for this presentation to be 7 minuets long so there is time for questions afterwards and to try and reduce my rambling. INITIAL CONSIDERATIONS

• First I need to consider my strengths and weaknesses when going into the project. • I find myself to be more comfortable at art than other aspects of game design like programming and 3D modelling so I need to focus my game to show how much I’ve improved my art over the two years. I know I will need to do programming and possibly 3D modelling depending on my game and what I decide to do with it, however I need to have my art as a main focus. My concept for this game is a small scale murder mystery where you play as a new detective investigating their first murder case. As the player you have to collect clues around a scene and figure out who did it. In the end you will talk to suspects and depending on your choice of words and evidence the true culprit can crack or the case will turn cold. CONCEPT 2

Hit-man… Detective style

• This concept is a darker mystery game where you are an experienced detective who is close to retiring when a bomb threat as been sent by a well know criminal gang. • With a high threat level you as the player need to sneak around and take down the criminals before they blow up the area. If you get caught • Depending on if you can defuse the bomb and apprehend the criminals you could save the city or lead it to its doom CONCEPT 3

Blackwell legacy mixed with Phoenix Wright

• This concept is a light hearted mystery game where you are a rookie investigator and have received news that something has been stolen and its your job to track down the thief. • You as the player need to collect clues and explore different scenes that will eventually lead you towards the criminal.
