Parish Council has requested that a noticeboard (given free of charge) be erected by the new bus shelter and to be shared by Wetheral and Hayton parishes. Resolution – to agree (not to agree) to request 131 DOUBLE YELLOW LINES, HAYTON Verbal update by the Chairman 132 HAYWAIN HILL Verbal update by Ward Group who attended a site meeting with Cumbria County Council Highways officers. 133 FINANCIAL REGULATIONS Amended Financial Regulations attached to the agenda. Resolution – to approve the amendments (shown in italics) to the Financial Regulations which have been updated to include new legislation and Statutory Instruments. 134 STANDING ORDERS Amended Standing Orders (shown in italics) attached to the agenda. The amendments have been recommended for approval by the Policies and Procedures Committee. The amendments cover cross referencing to the Council’s Policies and Procedures and updated Model Standing Orders. Resolution – to approve the amendments to the Standing Orders 135 FOOTWAY LIGHTING The footway lighting list has been sent to all councillors. Any amendments need to be brought to the meeting so that Carlisle City Council can be updated and the council has an up to date list for the future. Resolution – to list any amendments and return to Carlisle City Council. 136 ELECTRICITY NORTHWEST – TREES AT FAUGH PLAY AREA The Clerk has attended a site meeting where Electricity Northwest has indicated trees which they wish to cut back or fell for safety purposes. They wish to fell to 2 Silver Birch trees which are leaning and then cut back approximately 6 trees (mainly Oak) so that they do not interfere with the overhead cables. The felled trees and cuttings will be left at the side of the site as wildlife habitats. Resolution – to approve the proposal on Safety grounds. 137 DOWN A GATE FLOODING Since the last Parish Council meeting Down a Gate has been badly affected by the flooding in early December. Hayton Parish Council was asked to prepare a list of funders who may be able to assist in the restoration. This was done. Cllrs.
