Gina Bailey was named principal of the school in May. She is a familiar face around the school as she spent 10 years in the classroom and the past 6 years as the assis- tant principal and preschool director. Under her leader- ship, she plans to continue and grow the St. Jo- seph Cathedral School's great programs already in place. Jake Akin will step into the role as assistant principal. Jake has been the principal at Our Lady of Snows the last 2 years and spent 10 years in the classroom prior to that. He was part of the Diocesan Curriculum Committee, a position which allowed him to grow in his expertise in curricular maps, assessment strategies, and objective writing. This experience will help us further our already strong academic programs.
