Constitutional Review and implememntation • Legal Framework for the CR is approved by the Parliament. • Independent Constitutional review Committee (ICRIC) formed and capacitated • Parliamentary Oversight Committee (OC) with ICRIC have completed the technical review of the Provisional Constitution. • Public debates on Constitutional issues is going on at regional levels. • Public participation and referendum is scheduled 2016-2020

TRANSITITION TO DEMOCRACY. • First time in 47 years • Roadmap to 2020 one person one vote. • From 135 elders selection in 2012 to 14000 electoral colleges electing 275 lower House members. • Elections will be held in 6 Regional capitals.

• Introduction of 56 Upper House members elected by Regional parliaments • Allocation of 30% women in both houses (now 14%) • National Committees on Election management at Federal and State levels are formed. • Active participation of the Civil Society and International Community in the observation and the support of the election committees.

Is there a Fear of Post Election Violence • No history of Post elections violence in Somalia. • The support of the AU forces • Regional elections have been held in different states in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 (2 states), NO violence happened. All the outcomes is accepted by all contenders
