You do not need a 4 card Badugi to win however. You could have a 3-card Badugi where one card matches suits or are paired and a (3h-3d-7s-9c) or a two card Badugi where two cards matches suits or are both paired (2c-2s-9h-9d). At showdown the lowest 4 card Badugi wins. All 3-card Badugi win versus 2-Badugis. If the showdown hands are the same type, then the lowest hand will always win. For example: - Ad-2c-3s-6h would beat an Ac-2s-4c-8d in a two Badugi showdown. - Ac-4d-4h-9s would beat a 3h-5c-5d-7s in a 3-card Badugi showdown. - 5c-5d-8h-8s would beat a 2c-2h-9s-9d in a 2-card Badugi showdown.
