On this day, let the sum of all my sins be nullified in its smallness, like the moon’s shape today. But may the amount of my merits increase, give forth blossoms, and flower.

,With Your abundant kindness, You my King ו You will arise and have mercy on Zion,2 our Sanctuary. Give glory to the abode of Your dwelling, for די in it we will bring up our New Moon burnt-offerings. *Please, God, send us the one who will bear the crown נא of our heads. Psalm 20 For the conductor; a psalm of . May HASHEM answer ל ְ ֿ מנצּ ח you on the day of distress, may the Name of ’s God strengthen you. May He send your help from the Sanctuary, and support you from Zion. May He remember all your offerings, and consider your burnt sacrifices generous, . May He grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfill your every plan. May we sing for joy at your salvation, and raise our banner in the name of our God; may HASHEM fulfill all your requests. Now I know that HASHEM has saved His anointed one; He will answer him from His sacred heaven, with the omnipotent salvation of His right arm. Some with chariots, and some with horses, but we — in the Name of HASHEM, our God, we call out. They slumped and fell, but we arose and were invigorated. HASHEM save! May the King answer us on the day we call.

AT THIS POINT, THE REGULAR MINCHAH ARE RECITED. All recite: לְ כוּ וְ נ ֽשׁוּבה ֶ אל יהוה, כִּ י הוּא טרף וְיִרְ פּ אנוּ, י ְך וְ י ְ חבְּֿשׁ נוּ. יְ חיּנוּ מִ יֹּמ Dִי ם ,  בּיּוֹם השְּֿׁלִישִׁ י יְקִמ נוּ וְנִחְֿיֶ ה לְ פ ניו.1 כִּי לֹא על צִדְקֹת ינוּ אֲ נ Bְחנוּ מפִּילִים תּחֲנוּנ ינוּ לְ פ3 נ יך, ִכּי ע ל רחֲמ3 יך הר ִ בּים. אֲ  דֹני ְ שׁמ Dעה, אֲ  דֹני ְ סל Dחה, אֲ  דֹני ה ְ קA שׁ  יבה, ועֲשֵׂ ה א ל ְ תּא חר, לְ מע ְ נך ֱ אלֹה י, כִּ י שִׁמְ ך   נִקְ רא ע ל עִירְ ֿך ְ ו על עמּ3ך.*2

The following verse is recited three times by the chazzan, then three times by the congregation: הֲשִׁ יבנוּ יהוה אֵל יך ְ ונ ֽ שׁ וּבה, ח ֵדּשׁ י מינוּ כְּ ק ֶ דם.3

Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings You have established strength; because of Your enemies, to silence foe and avenger. When I behold Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars that You have set in place, [I think:] “What is frail man that You should remember him? And what is the son of mortal man that You should be mindful of him?” Yet You have made him but slightly less than the angels, and crowned him with glory and splendor. You gave him dominion over Your handiwork; You placed everything under his feet — sheep and cattle, all of them, even the beasts of the field; the birds of the sky and the fish of the sea — he traverses the lanes of the sea. HASHEM, our Master, how mighty is Your Name throughout the earth! AT THIS POINT, THE REGULAR MINCHAH PRAYERS ARE RECITED.
