We compared our results against those from a comparison site without Ready Readers. We found: • Increases in exposure to and engagement with books and reading. • Gains in pre-reading skills, such as identifying letters and singing a simple song. • Improvements in reading-related behaviors, such as holding a book and turning pages correctly or pretending to read.

Ready Readers University sets our volunteers up for success. We offer training programs, in-classroom mentoring, e-newsletters and online resources. We listen to volunteer feedback and develop curriculum to address their challenges and support their development.

As our numbers grow, our gift book totals are really stacking up! Since our inception in 1997, Ready Readers has given away 576,500 gift books to eager young learners.
