Big Water Marina & Campground Starr, South Carolina Located on one of the jewels of the Southeast, Lake Hartwell, Big Water Marina & Campground offers the ultimate camping experience with spectacular views. This campground has been attracting recreation enthusiasts from across the nation for more than 50 years. Visitors can enjoy 962 miles of shoreline and such outdoor activities as swimming, fishing, sailing and hiking. Big Water Marina offers 11 full hookup RV campsites and several guest amenities, ranging from campsite fire pits, picnic areas and water-sport rentals (ski boat, pontoons, and sailboats) to fishing docks and cleaning stations. 2020 Campsite Rates: • Basic Non-Electric: $25 per night; $75 per week • Standard Electric/Full Hookup: $35 - $50 per night; $245 per week

Croft State Park Spartanburg, South Carolina Formerly an Army training base, stretches across 7,000 acres of rolling, wooded terrain and is five miles from downtown Spartanburg. There’s hiking and biking here, and horse lovers can enjoy exploring more than 20 miles of equestrian trails. Fishing and boating activities are also available at one of the two lakes in the park, and children will love playing on the expansive playground. Featuring 25 RV campsites with 20-, 30- or 50-amp hookup services, the park can accommodate RV’s up to 40 feet. 2020 RV Campsite Rates: $27 - $35 per night.

Devils Fork State Park Salem, South Carolina Described by National Geographic as a “Destination of a Lifetime,” Devils Fork State Park in South Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains is spread across 9,000 primitive acres. Open year-round and featuring 59 full hookup RV campsites, the park is a place where visitors can enjoy all the sights and sounds of nature. Highlights include several hiking trails, waterfalls, and world-class boating and fishing on picturesque . Located just a few miles from the park are the quaint Southern towns of Walhalla and Seneca, which each feature charming restaurants, bars and breweries. 2020 RV Campsite Rates: $25 per night.

Solitude Pointe Cleveland, South Carolina Solitude Pointe sits in the heart of the South Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains and is situated off scenic Highway 11, near some of the best outdoor recreation in the country. Each of the 14 full hookup RV campsites are spacious, wooded, and provide ample privacy to experience peaceful solitude while being surrounded by nature. Visitors can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere while indulging in activities galore, such as hiking, fishing, boating and kayaking. Nearby attractions include Table Rock State Park, Caesar’s Head State Park, Victoria Valley Vineyards, Lake Jocassee and Lake Keowee. 2020 RV Campsite Rates: $49 per night.

COASTAL LOUSIANA

Galliano Inn Motel & Campground Galliano, Louisiana Ideally situated in southern Lafourche Parish, 35 miles south of New Orleans, is Galliano Inn Motel & Campground, which features a separate RV camp with 30- or 50-amp hookup sites. Nestled in the heart of Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou, which is spread across 4.1 million acres of forests, swamps, marshes, bayous, bays and barrier islands, the destination is a mecca for anglers. Visitors can enjoy the property’s campground amenities including a pool, picnic area, boat storage facilities and fish- cleaning areas. After a day of fishing, be sure to visit one of several local restaurants brimming with Cajun cuisine and live music. 2020 RV Campsite Rates: $26 per night; rates vary.

Fontainebleau State Park Mandeville, Louisiana About a 40-minute drive from New Orleans and just outside the charming small town of Mandeville is Fontainebleau State Park, Louisiana’s most visited state park. Spread across 2,800 acres, the park is conveniently located on the shores of Lake Pontchartrain, which is often dotted with multi-colored sailboats of all sizes and types. With a diverse ecosystem and expansive wildlife preserve, the area is home to more than 400 species of birds and other animals. Visitors can indulge in activities such as cycling, hiking, swimming, biking, fishing, or simply lying and soaking in the sun on the lake’s sandy beach – one of the largest white-sand beaches in the state. Grand Isle State Park Grand Isle, Louisiana Visitors can enjoy a rare opportunity to fall asleep to the soothing sounds of rolling waves while enjoying a beachfront vacation at Grand Isle State Park in Grand Isle, Louisiana, which was named one of the “52 Places to Go in 2020” by The New York Times. The park boasts a 400-foot-long fishing pier and nearby fish-cleaning station, and state officials estimate there are more than 280 species of fish living in the waters and marsh around the island. In addition to great fishing, there are plenty of activities for the whole family, including swimming, boating, kayaking, surfing, crabbing, birding and biking. Swampman RV Paradise Dulac, Louisiana Situated 55 miles from New Orleans in Louisiana’s famous Bayou Country, Swampman RV Paradise is located along the bayou and just minutes from several popular fishing and hunting spots. Their huge lawn features 24 RV campsite with 30- or 50- amp hookups. Guests can enjoy several activities – including fishing, boating, and crabbing – and nearby attractions such as Down the Bayou Shrimp Tours, water activities on Lake Boudreaux, and authentic Cajun restaurants like CeAna’s Cajun Cookin’. 2020 RV Campsite Rates: $30 per night; $125 per week; $300 per month.

COASTAL ALABAMA

Gulf State Park Gulf Shores, Alabama Visitors will love Gulf State Park’s spacious campground, which offers a secluded camping experience just minutes from the vibrant beach towns of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Between biking, fishing, hiking, kayaking, swimming, paddling and sun-tanning, guests won’t need to leave the park, but marvelous restaurants and exciting attractions including Fort Morgan and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo are mere minutes away. The park is home to 496 full hookup campsites and state-of-the- art facilities like the Interpretive Center, Nature Center and Learning Campus, plus the on-site restaurant, Woodside. 2020 RV Campsite Rates: $55 - $77 per night.

MID-ATLANTIC

Lums Pond State Park Bear, Lums Pond State Park is nestled in an oak and poplar woodland and surrounds Delaware's largest freshwater millpond. From hiking to fishing and biking, there’s plenty of recreation for visitors to enjoy. For horse lovers, the park features more than 10 miles of equestrian trails and is home to the Sunset Stables Equestrian Center, which offers riding lessons. The Go Ape! Zip line Treetop Adventure Course is also onsite, offering two zipline courses, one for beginners and younger children, and a second course that offers a two- to three-hour adventure high up in the tree canopy. Rocky Gap State Park Flintstone, Located in “The Mountain Side of Maryland,” Allegany County is an outdoor enthusiasts’ dream and home to 60,000 acres of majestic nature, including the beautiful Rocky Gap State Park. In addition to several hiking and biking trails through its dense hemlock forest, the park boasts the 243- acre Lake Habeeb, which is popular for fishing, swimming and non-motorized water sports. The park features 278 campsites, including 30 for RV campers (30-amp hookup). 2020 RV Campsite Rates: $21 - $28 per night.

THE OZARKS

Branson View Campground Branson, Missouri Whether they’re traveling in an RV or towing a pull-behind, visitors have many campgrounds to choose from in the lively Branson area. One of the best is Branson View Campground, located three miles south of the hub of Branson’s entertainment district and offering spectacular views. Nearby is the expansive Table Rock Lake, boasting more than 800 miles of shoreline and plenty of water activities for the whole family to enjoy. The campground features 40 full hookup RV sites that can accommodate slides or tow vehicles. 2020 RV Campsite Rates: $50 per night

Silver Dollar City Campground Cabins & RVs Branson, Missouri Named “One of the Best Midwest Campgrounds” by Midwest Living and conveniently situated near Branson’s top attractions, Silver Dollar City Campground features tent campsites, full hookup RV sites and trailer rentals, and hand-crafted rustic log cabins. Guests can enjoy the easiest access and a complimentary shuttle to the 1880s-themed amusement park, Silver Dollar City.
