Satellite Clubs

Energize have funding available to start a ‘Satellite Club’ in every Secondary School in .

There are currently over 50 Satellite Clubs running in 30 schools across Shropshire, and Wrekin. The aim is to have a Satellite Club in every secondary school in Shropshire by the end of the 2015/16 academic year before the funding finishes. The funding usually covers incentives, coaching qualifications for students, coaching fees, facility costs and marketing. All that is expected of the school is to provide intelligence around the demand for a sport, host the club and market the club to students.

Me & My – local information…

Energize have purchased the franchise for STW (12 months):

Schools purchase a 12 month licence • Special introductory 12 month licence fee would be: • Primary School: £150 • Secondary School: £500

However, Energize are looking at using this academic year to ‘pilot’ Me & My and work with ‘clusters’ of schools that are enthusiastic about gaining pupil insight.

• Cluster working – gaining insight for an area and not just a school. • Involvement reduces the cost significantly but those involved would be required to have students complete the Sport & Health Survey in a prescribed time frame.
