Welcome to the next six month course programme for the winter period of 2019 – 2020. This is the first “Dear Friends” letter I have written. Some of our regular visitors will be aware of Eamonn’s health issues recently and I know we all wish him a speedy recovery. A lot of you will be already be acquainted with the details in this brochure, but we get requests from lots of our visitors to continue to send out a hard copy. This will continue for the foreseeable future, along with trying to find other avenues to get the “Knuston” word out there! For those of you who use Social Media, please “like” our Facebook page. For those of you who don’t, tell your friends about us and help us to spread the word. We try to provide you with as many different ways to view the details of our 400+ courses as we can. All of our forthcoming courses can be viewed on our website, in the corridor at Knuston or call the office for more information. This brochure sees the return of all of our old favourites. Courses, which students have been attending for years and also welcoming newcomers and beginners. Our tutors are experts in their chosen fields, but also offer that special something, that make students feel part of the “Knuston gang”. With a new brochure, this offers us the opportunity to bring some new tutors and courses to Knuston, this year being no different. Why not try and solve a crime case and be a member of the Jury with Diane Janes or creating some lovely animals using needle felting with Nic Cremona. This being just two of the ten new courses we are offering this year. A full programme of Lunch and Dinner Talks on a huge variety of subjects and two themed evenings with a Gala Dinner before Christmas. We look forward to welcoming you to join us for some wonderful food, a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere to share with like- minded people. See you soon!

Booking Code: Q541 Arrivals from 5.30pm on Friday 3 January 2020 Finish with Lunch on Sunday 5 January 2020 Full Board with Shared bedroom occupancy: £229 Full Board with Single bedroom occupancy: £249

The Revealed Plot Society return to Knuston Hall to re-enact two murder cases from their files. You are asked to be the detectives and solve these unsolved baffling crimes.

To begin with, FLOGGING A DEAD HORSE. A consortium who own a race-horse are less than happy. The animal has not won a single race since they purchased it and at least two of the members wish to cut their losses and sell their shares. But that’s impossible unless there’s a 100% agreement and wouldn’t you know it, one of the share-holders won’t give his consent. That is until he’s strangled in a training area that is locked and bolted on the inside. A perplexing mystery will unravel as you investigate the deed, that’s a dead cert!

After you have triumphed in this first crime, be prepared for a completely different type of puzzle as we go back into history. The year is 1934 and you are on board the steamship THE NAK-KAR, travelling up the Nile and back to Cairo as the wealthy heiress Belinda De Lordee has been murdered, stabbed with an ornate dagger found in the tomb of the Pharaoh Runanceez 1st. Has the curse of the dead king visited the victim? The only fingerprints on the dagger are that of a 3000 year old mummy! Hence the title of this case – IS MY MUMMY A MURDERER???? (We invite guests to dress up in their flapper finery for this investigation)

A different kind of mystery is offered to you on the Saturday afternoon as an entertaining Magic Show is staged for your enjoyment.
