Game Ball The New York Jets “bend but don’t break” defense yielded yards but consistently made key stops when needed as evidenced in the Giants only converting 12.5 percent of their third down attempts and not allowing a point for three quarters.
Key Stat Homer Jones caught at 53-yard “Hail Mary” pass for a touchdown with four seconds left in the game.
Noteworthy The Giants had a plus three turnover ratio…The Jets were only penalized twice for negative 20 yards…

Actual. At the Orange Bowl, attendance 25,967. Miami entered halftime with a 35-17 lead and were able to hold on for the victory. Boston made 27 first downs and outgained Miami by 56 yards but they had a - 6 turnover ratio. Babe Parilli was 11 of 26 for 266 yards with 1 TD and 3 INTs. Jim Nance ran 24 times for 164 yards and 2 TDs. Bob Griese was 17 of 30 for 270 yards with 3 TDs. Stan Mitchell had 11 carries for 43 yards.
