SECRETARY GENERAL to lay the following Reports (Hindi and English versions) of the Standing Committee on Labour:- (1) Eighth Report* on 'The Industrial Relations Code, 2019' relating to the Ministry of Labour and Employment. (2) Ninth Report$ on ‘The Code on Social Security, 2019’ relating to the Ministry of Labour & Employment. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * The Report was presented to Hon'ble Speaker (17th Lok Sabha) on 23rd April, 2020 under Direction 71 A of the Directions by the Speaker, Lok Sabha when the House was not in Session and the Speaker was pleased to order the printing, publication and circulation of the Report under Rule 280 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha. $ The Report was presented to Hon'ble Speaker (17th Lok Sabha) on 31st July, 2020 under Direction 71 A of the Directions by the Speaker, Lok Sabha when the House was not in Session and the Speaker was pleased to order the printing, publication and circulation of the Report under Rule 280 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha. 3 STATEMENTS BY MINISTERS 12. SHRI RAJNATH SINGH to make a statement on the "Developments on our borders in Ladakh". ________ 13. SHRIMATI NIRMALA SITHARAMAN to make a statement regarding the status of implementation of the recommendations contained in the 1st Report of the Standing Committee on Finance on Demands for Grants (2019-20) pertaining to the Departments of the Economic Affairs, Expenditure, Financial Services & D/o Investment & Public Asset Management, Ministry of Finance. ________ 14. SHRI NARENDRA SINGH TOMAR to make the following statements regarding:- (1) the status of implementation of the Recommendations/Observations contained in the 3rd Report of the Standing Committee on Agriculture on 'Demands for Grants' (2019-20) pertaining to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. (2) the status of implementation of the Recommendations/Observations contained in the 10th Report of the Standing Committee on Agriculture on 'Demands for Grants' (2020-21) pertaining to the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. ________ 4 15. KISHAN REDDY to make a statement regarding the status of implementation of the recommendations/observations contained in the 222nd Report of the Standing Committee on Home Affairs on 'Management of Worsening Traffic situation in Delhi' pertaining to the Ministry of Home Affairs. ________ MOTION REGARDING JOINT COMMITTEE ON OFFICES OF PROFIT 16. DR. SATYA PAL SINGH SHRI SHYAM SINGH YADAV to move the following: “That this House do recommend to Rajya Sabha that Rajya Sabha do elect one Member of Rajya Sabha, in accordance with the system of proportional representation by means of the single transferable vote; to the Joint Committee on Offices of Profit in the vacancy caused by the retirement of Dr. K. Keshava Rao from Rajya Sabha and do communicate to this House the name of the member so elected Rajya Sabha to the Joint Committee.” ________ MOTION FOR ELECTION OF TWO MEMBERS TO THE NATIONAL JUTE BOARD 17. SHRIMATI SMRITI ZUBIN IRANI to move the following:- “That in pursuance of clause (b) of sub-section 4 of section 3 of the National Jute Board Act, 2008, read with Rule 5 of the National Jute Board Rules, 2010, the members of this House do proceed to elect, in such manner as the Speaker may direct, two members from amongst themselves to serve as members of the National Jute Board, subject to the other provisions of the said Act and the rules made thereunder.” 5 MOTION FOR ELECTION OF TWO MEMBERS TO THE RUBBER BOARD 18. SHRI HARDEEP S. PURI to move the following:- “That in pursuance of clause (e) of sub-section (3) of section 4 of the Rubber Act, 1947, read with rule 4(1) of the Rubber Rules, 1955, the members of this House do proceed to elect, in such manner as the Speaker may direct, two members from amongst themselves to serve as members of the Rubber Board, subject to the other provisions of the said Act and the rules made thereunder.” ________ STATUTORY RESOLUTION *19.
