SILVAN OMERZU (1955) is a Slovenian director, painter, and puppet artist. After completing his studies at the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana he began working in the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre. In 1983 he was awarded a scholarship for study in residence in Prague, where je specialized in puppet scenography and design. Prešeren Fund Award in 2006.
