This list is sorted by State, City and Organization Name for Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia including the code number for each organization for those who wish to direct a portion of their annual pledge. It is made available to all who assist with the campaign. If you find contributors wanting to direct a portion of their gift, simply have them note the code number and name of the agency or United Way on their pledge form. Does this booklet contain all eligible agencies? Yes. For agency code numbers, visit UWSWPAs website https://uwswpa.org/ click on Nonprofits at the bottom of the page. What are the criteria for an agency to be eligible and listed in the booklet? In order for an agency to be eligible for the contributor choice program, the agency must be in compliance with the USA PATRIOT ACT and all other counterterrorism laws; must be a health or human service agency or an approved agency of another United Way; must have an IRS 501(c) 3 tax exempt/tax- deductible status; must be in full compliance with all federal, state, county and local requirements and laws pertaining to non-profits; meet the requirements of the Solicitation of Funds for Charitable Purposes Act. NOTE: arts, cultural, religious, recreational, political programs, government agencies and institutions providing formal education are not eligible for designations through UWSWPA. Effective June 2011, agencies are vetted on a monthly basis through a third party vendor to validate the agencies IRS status, to verify the agency is not on the Terrorist watch list and to verify the agency is not on the IRS Revocation list. If the agency is on the Terrorist Watch list and/or the IRS Revocation list, the agency will be made ineligible and the donor will be asked to select a different agency. What if an agency selected is not listed in this booklet? United Way of Southwestern PA has made every attempt to follow-up with all agencies that were eligible in the prior year campaign via email, mail and phone calls. If a donor chooses an agency not listed in the booklet (the agency did not respond or did not meet the above criteria), UWSWPA will send a letter to the donor and ask them to choose an eligible agency. Can I find the code numbers in this booklet on the internet? Yes. For agency code numbers, visit UWSWPA’s website https://uwswpa.org/ and, click on Nonprofits at the bottom of the page. Who do I call if I need help finding a code number? Call United Way of Southwestern PA’s helpdesk at 412-255-1155 for assistance. Can I use my local United Way's code numbers? NO. Here are some highlights. In 2012: 319 scholarly papers, chapters and books were published or forthcoming. Joint research of our faculty or research associates accounted for 25% of the papers. Faculty and research associates edited or co-edited 26 journals, served on advisory and editorial boards for 48 journals, and refereed for 228 different journals. Faculty and research associates made 232 presentations at U.S. conferences and 76 international presentations, a total of 308 presentations. Faculty and research associates worked with international agencies and as lecturers and advisors to 33 countries, from Costa Rica to Romania to South Africa. They have also made21 trips to China and 19 to Canada. Our graduate students have published 11 scholarly papers and have another 3 under review. They presented 24 papers at professional conferences. The Andrew Young School had2,112 undergraduate students and 534 graduate students enrolled in 618 courses taught. Researchers and reports from the Andrew Young School were featured in nearly 400 stories in various media outlets.

Clinical Results and Sustainability ISMETT-UPMC in Palermo (Italy) • ISMETT is a public-private 78-bed hospital partnership (The Sicilian Region - The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center) situated in Palermo, Sicily. It is the only multiorgan (liver, heart, lung, kidney and pancreas) transplant centre in Southern Italy. • We provide high specialty surgical and non-surgical procedures to the entire regional population (approximately 5 million people living in the Sicilian Region). • More than 1.300 patients have had transplants at ISMETT in the last 10 years. This report was written by Alan Swigonski. Swigonski, a retired auditor, is the former managing director of the Waldron Campus Center at Gannon University. He was the founding co-director and president of Team Erie, the citizens action group that from 1990 to 1995 helped galvanize public opinion to build Jerry Uht Park, now UPMC Park. That development, which continues to unfold, and the alarm expressed by community, government, and business interests – locally, across the state, and nationally – has been swift and Erie SeaWolves President Greg Coleman presents jersey to sweeping. Chapter 2 describes the characteristics, goals, theoretical foundations, and major components of the ECI Model. Chapter 3 describes the socio-organizational contexts that teachers using the ECI strive to implement. Chapter 4 emphasizes the creation of personalized learning environments that afford teachers the flexibility to match their teaching strategies to individual learning styles and abilities.

    About the covers Details from a hand-drawn, illustrated map of campus created in 1928 by prominent K-State artist Vida Harris at the request of Dean Margaret Justin. In art and verse, Harris colorfully depicted campus and academic life of Kansas Agricultural College 80 years ago. The Harris map has been reproduced as a limited edition silk twill scarf. Proceeds from its sales benefit K-State’s Costume and Textile Museum, which is housed in the Department of Apparel, Textiles, and Interior Design, College of Human Ecology. The museum is the largest collection of its kind in the Midwest and one of K-State’s nine major collections. At present it contains more than 15,000 items: costumes, textiles, dolls, accessories, textile and apparel making implements, patterns, books, photos and other related objects.
