He was also heavily involved with the USA Wrestling-Kansas organization. At CHS he had 22 state qualifiers. While he was coaching at CHS, Hinderliter continued to help with USAW summer programs and Team Kansas. A highly accomplished wrestler, Crank was a four-time NAIA All-American and a two time national finalist. In his collegiate career, Crank had more than 100 wins and was named to the NWCA All-Academic Team four- He is well respected in the wrestling community. In 2004, Hinderliter was named USAW-KS Kid’s Person of the times.
