Action kicks off on Saturday at noon ET when Michigan travels to Illinois, Indiana welcomes WEEK 6 RESULTS Rutgers and Purdue plays host to Maryland. SATURDAY, OCT. 5 • Four Big Ten teams remain undefeated on the season as Ohio State is 6-0, while Minnesota, Penn State MARYLAND 48, RUTGERS 7 and Wisconsin are 5-0. The Buckeyes are 6-0 for the second consecutive season and the sixth time in the last eight years, while the Nittany Lions and Badgers are both 5-0 for the first time since 2017. The MICHIGAN 10, IOWA 3 Gophers have opened the season with five victories for the first time since 2004. PENN STATE 35, PURDUE 7

• The Big Ten currently features three programs that rank among the top five nationally in scoring margin. WISCONSIN 48, Kent State 0 Ohio State leads the nation and the conference, outscoring its opponents by an average of 40.5 points per MINNESOTA 40, ILLINOIS 17 contest. Wisconsin follows in second nationally at +37.6 points per game, while Penn State is fourth at NEBRASKA 13, NORTHWESTERN 10 +31.5 points per contest. OHIO STATE 34, MICHIGAN STATE 7 • Ohio State and Penn State currently rank among the top five nationally in both scoring offense and scor- ing defense. • Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields threw for a pair of scores and rushed for another in the victory against Michigan State. • Ohio State extended its winning streak to 12 games while also becoming the first Big Ten school to secure a bowl berth this season. The winner of the East Division will meet the winner of the West Division, with the game’s victor earning the Big Ten Championship QUICK FACTS and a chance to play in one of the six bowls that comprise the College Football Playoff, including the Rose Bowl Game.
