Angerstein Road The only Angerstein of note was John Julius Angerstein, who was born in St Petersburg in 1735. He emigrated to London in 1750 where he became one of the inspirations for Lloyds of London. A merchant, he lived in Pall Mall with a country residence, Woodlands, on the banks of the Thames.
