On the other side of the coin, MSU has never been worse that two games APSU under .500 when they lost to Tennessee State (Jan. 16) and were 8-10. Last win: SEMO On the Road W1  The Racers have lost five OVC games by total of only 23 points for an average of 4.6 points per game. SEMO Last loss: UTM  The APSU game marked the seventh time this season that MSU had the ball with 1:00 remaining in a one- Neutral Floor L1 possession game. It turned out to be their first loss. Weber State Last Win: Pepperdine  MSU is 10-4 when leading at the half and 2-8 when they trail. Non-OVC Home W1 Brescia  Tennessee Tech is the only undefeated team at home in the OVC at 12-0. Last win: Southern Illinois Non-OVC Road L4  The best win streak currently in the OVC is Eastern Illinois at four straight wins. The Eastern Kentucky UGA, Houston, Illinois State, Wright State Colonels had the big week with road wins at Belmont and Tennessee State which vaulted them back into the Last win: Tulsa (March 2014) playoff picture.  The UTM-SEMO-APSU games have seen the Racers hit 29 3-point baskets. Moss has hit 17 of them.

 The Racers have dealt with many injuries this season. They lost Kedrick Flomo in the preseason after he had emergency heart surgery. Brion Sanchious suffered a season ending knee injury at Belmont Jan. 14. Chad Culbreath has missed the last three games with a concussion. The Racers are hopeful he can get back on the floor this week.

 The starting five of: Croaker, Jones, Langston, McGhee and Moss have started the last six games. They’re 9-5 on the season. Moss, Langston and Jones have started every game this season.

Jalen Dupree – Forward - 6-8 - Cordova High School - Cordova, Tenn. Dupree is on a Wolves team that won the Tennessee District 14 3A championship last season in one of the most competitive districts in the state. He was named All-District and averaged 10 points, eight rebounds and 3.5 blocked shots per game.

Dondre Griffin – Guard - 6-4 - Knightdale High School - Raleigh, N.C. Griffin enters his senior season for the Knightdale Knights as one of the top guards in North Carolina. His team made it to the 2015 quarterfinals of the North Carolina playoffs in class 4A. Griffin averaged 13 points and five rebounds..

Gilbert Thomas – Forward – 6-6 - CE King High School - Houston, Texas Thomas comes from a successful program that won back-to-back Texas District-21 5A championships while racking up a 54-12 record. He was the District MVP, named to the All-Greater Houston Team and was named the Southeast Texas Player of the Year while scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds per game.

Marcus Brown - 20th Anniversary Single-Game Scoring Mark OOVCVC WWEEKLYEEKLY AAWARDSWARDS Dec. 16 marked the 20th anniversary of Marcus Brown setting the Murray State single-game scoring mark Player of the Week with 45 points against Washington (Mo.). The game was played at Racer Arena in 1995 where MSU won 108- 87. Brown was 14-of-18 from the field and didn’t attempt a 3-point shot. He also went to the free throw line 13 times and hit every one. Brown, out of West Memphis, Arkansas, played for the Racers from 1992-96 and today is still the third all- Kyle Schwartz time scorer at MSU with 2,236 points. McMahon was involved with the Racers’ 2013-14 season when they won the CollegeInsider Tournament championship and fi nished 23-11.

In his four seasons at MSU, McMahon coached All-OVC performers Isaiah Canaan, Donte Poole, Ivan Aska, Ed Daniel, Jarvis Williams and Cameron Payne. Canaan and Payne were OVC Player of the Year selections. At Appalachian State, McMahon coached Southern Conference MVP Donald Sims as well as All-Conference picks Jeremy Clayton and D.J. Thompson. At UNCW, McMahon recruited Adam Smith, a Parade Second Team All-America selection.
