PREGAME QUOTES BOSTON BRUINS VS ARIZONA COYOTES Tuesday, February 28, 2017

BOSTON BRUINS INTERIM HEAD COACH BRUCE CASSIDY POSTGAME PRESS CONFERENCE On what has impressed him most about his team… Well, again, I think it’s our resiliency. I mean, there’s situations where – trap games they’ll call them, where you come back off the road, that first game at home, can you keep and sustain the energy level? I know it was sloppy out there at times, but we pushed through it. Our kill really came through for us. We gave one up, but we got it back with the shorthanded . So, I think that gave us life, took some away from them. So, I liked that part of it. I do like our third period. Even though we had a three-goal lead, we didn’t give them a chance to get back into it. We took a late penalty; those are going to happen clearing the front of the net, but in general. Then, we had chances to extend it. So, that’s kind of the situation whether you have a one-goal lead or three, you want to make them earn everything, go 200 feet, and then, if you can, extend the lead. So, I think it was a good third period in that regard.

On the Colin Miller hit… Well, first of all, you’re always worried about the player’s health. We understand that he’s doing okay. It looked like [Colin] - it was a clean hit, even though [Alexander] Burmistrov’s in a vulnerable position. Again, we want to see him – his health is first and foremost. But, I thought it was a clean hit from my vantage . We had a quick discussion with the officials. It’s a bang- bang call, so we’re not going to beat it up. That’s what I saw, and I guess down the road, they’ll look at it or they won’t, I don’t know what will happen there. But, like I said, we’re glad he’s okay.

On if he is troubled that penalty calls are being dictated by injury rather than rule infractions… Yes. But, listen, they’re human beings, the officials. They see a guy down like that, one of their first reactions is that, maybe it was a five-minute major just by how the whole thing played out. They may still feel that way. Like I said, it’s a split-second decision. So, I just thought Colin was trying to be aggressive and finish a check in the neutral zone. And, unfortunately, the injury occurred. But, again, I don’t think he did anything. He didn’t leave his feet; he didn’t look like he targeted the head. Again, that’s to be determined by the supervisors, if in fact they look at it.

On if the Bruins neutral zone play is at a peak right now… Well, I mean, we want to play fast in that area. Play fast, everyone talks – when we get the puck in the neutral zone, we want to get the puck north as soon as possible. That’s a mindset that we’re trying to develop. It doesn’t allow teams to change. If they do, they’ll be vulnerable. A lot of times, you’ve got a group of players going one direction and the puck is going the other, so you are susceptible to odd man rushes. It forces teams to really manage the puck through there. If they want to try and make plays, it will hopefully make them pay the price. Tonight, it worked out. One, I think they just mismanaged it and March [Brad Marchand] was on it. That’s March, that’s just his game. He’s on that puck like a dog on a bone and he’s going to get those situations. The other one was a good angle by Krech [David Krejci] through the neutral zone, and off we went. I think it was great alertness by Colin Miller to recognize he had a chance to go and

support the rush. We’re going to continue to encourage that when those situations are there. We don’t want to be reckless, but that’s an area of the ice I find that, if you do a good job and get through there in a hurry, it can really lead to offensive zone time. So, we’ll continue to encourage it.

On if he ever imagined the start to his head coaching stint would go so well… Well yeah, you want to have positive energy, right, and positive thoughts. So, you never know how it’s going to play out. But, listen. I think we have a very good group in there that are capable of putting up – making plays offensively, creating their chances. Right now, they’re going in. I’m sure at some point, we’re going to run up against it where they don’t. We’re going to have to be able to win 2-1 games, and we have. We did it in San Jose, a tough barn. So, I just want the guys to make sure that they play confident, solid hockey and believe in themselves. And play to a standard. We’re trying to set a standard where we’re one of the better teams in the . They’ve been there before, the leadership group here. That’s where we’re striving to get through in the end.

On any comparisons between the psyche of the team now as opposed to earlier in the season… Well, clearly, wining has made them feel better about themselves, more confident. I see a group that’s energetic when they come to the rink. I see a group that’s resilient. Now, they certainly had some of these qualities, during the first part of they year. You just see more of it now, and I think winning lends itself to those character traits of the group. We need to keep building on that. In game, you’ve got to be able to get through the rough stretches. I think that was some of our problem earlier in the year. We didn’t get out of them quick enough at times. We really tried to put a focus on them. Let’s get through those and, for lack of better term, habits, out there. You’ve just got to play through it and find a way.

On his mindset going into tomorrow’s trade deadline… I’m going to go to practice in the morning, have a good breakfast, do a little video, and see what happens. That’s out of my control. I think that’s a question better served for management. We’ll go from there and see what we’ve got.

BOSTON BRUINS GOALTENDER TUUKKA RASK On the team’s resiliency in games coming as a result of confidence... That’s a good way to put it. I think first period, both teams had some chances – I think the shots were even, too. We got the lead and then it was kind of a run-and-gun game, both sides, in the first and as well as the second. I don’t think we played necessarily very good in the second period, but it was 4-1 and we have to be satisfied with that. And then in the third period, it was a lot better – could have something to do with score, too – but it looked like our identity more than in the first two.

On how the team regained momentum after the hit on Alexander Burmistrov... Well, I don’t think – the only thing you can do is just get the puck to your team and try to make a couple passes and try to get your skating legs going again, and I think that’s what we did pretty good there.

On if he got caught up on the Arizona goal...

No, my skate was just caught on the post. I was looking for him to make that short side pass and then I couldn’t get across.

On if it’s been fun to come to the rink again with the team’s recent success... It has been, yeah. Obviously after a successful road trip like that, too. It was a big trip for us and we definitely showed a lot of character in those wins but I think we’ve kind of found a way to focus on the things we need to focus on and play hockey out there, practice hard, play hard, and not overthink and that makes it fun.

On if he pays attention to the standings... I haven’t – I know it’s tight, but I haven’t. I don’t know, I think we’re third or something.

On how the team’s psyche compares to three weeks ago... I don’t know, I think, well obviously it’s easy to say when we’ve won a lot of games, but we haven’t broken down inside the games. I think we’ve kind of played pretty good hockey overall in the full 60-minute span, and then the offense has been there. I think we’ve been, the guys seem to have the confidence to make the plays for the most part and it’s been creating a lot of scoring chances and goals. I don’t know, I think it just looks – the guys are enjoying it out there and just working hard and having fun at it.

On if he’s had any ‘wow’ moments in net when the team makes a great play or scores a goal... A lot. I think, you know, there’s –almost every game there’s one or two. But it’s a fine line as we always talk about, you know, you try to make those extra passes and if it works it’s great but if it doesn’t it’s going to come back to your own end. But lately it’s been working out and a lot of that has to do with the confidence part, but a lot of times you’re kind of like, “Wow, nice plays.”

On how the defense has been playing... It is, yeah you know, a lot of it is just working hard and skating. I think we’re trying to eliminate as much as you can the chances from the slot. As long as guys come back to the slot and protect the house, it’s going to make a big difference and in a lot of the games that’s been the case.

BOSTON BRUINS FORWARD PATRICE BERGERON On maintaining energy after the road trip… Yeah, I think we tried to carry over the momentum that we created on the road. Sometimes it’s not easy to come back after a long road trip with the time change and all that, so I thought we did a good job. It was maybe not the best start that we’ve gotten over the last few games, but I still thought we battled back. As soon as we got that second goal, it seemed like we got our game going.

On the chemistry between him and Brad Marchand… Yeah, he’s been doing some great things on our line, obviously trying to, you know, create some space for us or just…you know, getting the puck back in the corners. So, he’s been doing a lot of great things [and] details that don’t come up on the score sheet but go a long way for us, so it was nice for him to get that goal, but it was well deserved. He’s been playing great.

On the successful road trip…

Yeah, I think, you know, we created some confidence on the road, and it seemed like we just told ourselves to go back to what’s been successful [for] us lately, which is keeping things simple and playing a hard game, and we did that after, like I said, that penalty kill and that goal, and it got us going, and after that, we were more poised with the puck but also more assertive, and it made a big difference.

On the highs and lows of the season… Yeah, it’s been kind of like that, you know, from the start and then now, so it’s definitely nice to be on the upswing. You know, you often say that you don’t want to be too high or too low, so it’s about making sure that we stay with it. I think that I really like the focus right now, and it’s nice to see the confidence in guys too, so we have to keep that going. We’re playing some big teams coming up, so it’s about making sure we’re ready.

On the team’s home success… Yeah, it’s huge. We know that, if I’m not mistaken, we’re going to play more home games until the end, so we know that it’s going to be important to be good at home, so like you said, you know, those last four [home] games have been the way that we want to play at home.

BOSTON BRUINS FORWARD RILEY NASH On how big his goal felt… Personally it was huge. It’s always nice to be able to chip in offensively. Shortly there before I kind of made a bad decision on the two-on-two play shorthanded, I tried to get it to [David] Backes; I should have just took it to the net. So it’s always nice to rebound like that and get us back on top.

On if his score was a turning point for the game… I think having that lead was key for us whether we were up one-nothing or two-one. That was big, we’ve been playing pretty good defensively through the neutral zone and the d-zone lately. And we always feel like obviously with our top two lines, top three lines, the way they’ve been playing lately whenever we get turnovers we can capitalize, so just being sound in the neutral zone and d-zone and capitalize when you have the chance.

On if it’s strange that he hasn’t had a shorthanded goal before… Yeah, if you look at my goals, I don’t have that many so there’s not too many to choose from, but I’ve definitely had chances before. In Carolina I PK’d with a guy that was a little bit more aggressive so I was trying to read off him, so I don’t know if that’s it. Dom’s [Dominic Moore] had a couple this year and I’ve been out with him. So you just try to take advantage of the opportunity. You’re not really looking for it, but if it presents itself then take advantage.

On if his line is changing anything offensively…. I think we’ve been pretty solid for the most part. We’re counted on defensively each and every night put out for D-zone draws usually. So I think if we focus on that and keep doing that then the offense will come. We try and protect the puck down there and create chances off the cycle which is sometimes hard to do just the way teams defend nowadays, but if we can keep working on it and find our three-on-three game down low and keep creating. I think we had a couple chances, I think Schalls [Tim Schaller] had one in the third and Moorsey [Dominic Moore] had

one in the third that went in. So we don’t really look to take chances offensively but if they present themselves, like I said, take advantage.

On if he thinks the team should make any trades… That’s not my decision. I think – I have 110% confidence in this group right now. I think everyone in this room feels the same way, right. But it’s out of our hands. It’s not my decision. I think in the last eight or nine games we’ve shown that we can beat anybody.

BOSTON BRUINS FORWARD BRAD MARCHAND On how high the confidence is among the team… Yeah, we are. We’re feeling really good I think. We didn’t play our best game tonight. We know that. But, to come back from the road trip that we had and to get the two points is really what matters. So, we have to continue to build on our game each day, but we’ve been doing that pretty good the past couple of weeks.

On what has changed during this last stretch… We’re playing with a little more tempo. We know that. The D are activating on the rush a bit more. You see that the D are producing a lot right now. We’ve got a lot of depth scoring which is what we were missing the first part of the year. Lately, guys have been stepping up every game. You see Nasher [Riley Nash] with the huge goal tonight to get us that lead shorthanded. Frankie’s [Frank Vatrano] had a couple big goals. That’s what we need. We need four lines producing and all the D, and Tuukk’s [Tuukka Rask] again has been hot lately. So, all that combined has allowed us to win games.

On what message he hopes Don Sweeney should take from the last eight games they’ve played… They’re going to do what they think is best for the team. Regardless of if we get someone or not, we’re going to keep working. We’re going to push here to get into the playoffs. That’s all we care about. Whether we do something or not, we have the same goal at the end of the day. We’ll see what happens, but we believe in this group in here. We can do some damage when we’re playing the way we are. That’s all that matters.

On if they don’t want to mess with things too much… Yeah. We’re playing well. But, there’s still just under 20 games left here and a lot can happen. We can’t get too comfortable. We have to realize the situation we’re in. Teams that are right around us are continuing to win and get points. All that matters right now is that we do that same. Again, regardless of what happens, we have a great group in here. We get along really well off the ice and lately, that’s been transferring over on the ice. So, we have to continue that.

On if he follows the standings every day… Yeah, pretty frequently. It’s flip-flopping a lot. You can’t put too much emphasis on it, but I just like to know where our team stands and where we’re at. But, it’s going to be tight right down to the last game, just like last year. We just have to be prepared for that.

On if it’s strange that they’re so close to first place but so close to being out of the playoff picture…

It is. But, you look back at, even the teams at the bottom. I think Carolina is down there, but they have five, six games in hand. So, if they get hot, they’re right in the mix as well. So, we have to control what we can and that’s just playing well and winning games, and everything else will sort itself out.

BOSTON BRUINS FORWARD DAVID BACKES On if the team was feeling confident coming into tonight after their successful road trip… I think we’ve established a pretty good game plan, a pretty good recipe for how we’re going to have success as a whole team, picking each other up and doing the little things you do to win games. I don’t think the first two periods were pretty by any means, but you’ve got a 4-1 lead after two after you had a little sloppiness. Tuukka [Rask] made some big saves. We were able to score a couple of goals there at the end of the second, and we just needed to go out there and play a solid third period. We were better in the third, but not great, and coming off of a road trip, I don’t know what it is, but that first game seems to be the toughest one. We got two points out of it. It wasn’t pretty, but we got the two points. We’ll get a good day of practice in tomorrow, and be able to hit the ground running against a good Rangers team on Thursday.

On if he got a look at the net on his goal… Bergy [Patrice Bergeron] had a pretty good screen on the goalie, and was able to send it down to Marchy [Brad Marchand] and kind of get lost out of the zone, and then just found a little pocket. He’s able to find me, and I was trying to get it to the net, and was due for one that wasn’t tic-tac- toe. It snakes in the five hole, and you’re feeling like you’re contributing on the offensive side of things a little bit more, and that’s a good feeling. We’ve got a lot of guys, Nasher [Riley Nash] steps up on a shorthanded goal for the game winner when, if they score on that power play, they maybe get momentum and you’ve got a totally different game. But Bergy does a great job on the forecheck, gets him the puck, and he’s patient with it, picks his spot, and it turns out to be the game winner. That was huge for us, especially after we had a major penalty there. If they could have scored a couple on that power play, potentially, but instead we get the momentum, and credit those guys for one heck of a kill.

On his line with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron scoring a lot off of set plays… Yeah, well, some of that is scripted off faceoffs, but the rest is ad-lib, but we’re finding soft spots where we can relieve pressure. I had a few earlier that period where, I was in the corner just kind of holding on to it, looking for where my out was, and they were able to get two on me, strip the puck, and go out of the zone, and I figured I could skate away from pressure a little bit more, have a little more time, get it behind the net where Marchy [Brad Marchand] is able to get into a little space, and then, how they’re getting Bergy [Patrice Bergeron] takes a few bodies to the net, and I get a little bit more time there in the high slot, and then just shoot it hard and close your eyes, and say a prayer, and it was answered.

On the change in the team’s play coming after the coaching change… This has been exceptional, no question. That being said, we knew we had a group that was not where we expected to be inside this room at this time of year, a month ago, and there’s a little bit of change. Maybe it’s a new voice, but the response from guys, and again, I think there’s a lot of little things and a lot of guys that got their eyes up, and a little more pep in their step, and they’re contributing all over the ice, winning more pucks and doing the little things, and those little

things add up, and we’ve been a tough team in the last seven, eight games, nine games, whatever it’s been. But we’ve still got a long way to go, and we’ve got to keep our focus narrow, the way it has been, that we were focused on the Arizona Coyotes. We’ve got a little special day in the league with the trade deadline tomorrow. That’s going to come and go, whatever happens there, and then we’ve got to focus on the Rangers that have beat us twice I believe now, and we need to get two points out of that game on Thursday, and we’ll move on to the next opponent.

BOSTON BRUINS DEFENSEMAN COLIN MILLER On if he thought he made a clean hit on Alexander Burmistrov… Yeah, I was just trying to step up in the neutral zone and make a play on him, but you never like to see that with him going off on the stretcher. Hopefully he’s feeling better.

On if he felt he did everything he could do to make it a clean hit… I think so. I definitely kind of let up there but like I said, things like that happen in a game, hopefully he’s feeling better.

On whether it’s tough to watch the rest of the game… Yeah that’s never great, but the guys did a great job of killing it off, actually scored on it. I don’t know if it helped the team but the team did a great job killing it off.

On whether he was surprised he was thrown out… I don’t know. I think in any situation the refs have to make a decision. With the state that he was in there it looked pretty bad. I don’t know, they got to make a decision and you can’t really criticize them.

On whether the shoulder was the point of contact… I don’t know, I haven’t really watched it. We’ll have to see what the league decides. That’s not really in my interest to decide that.

On why it was classified as a charge… I haven’t talked to anybody or heard anything from anybody.

On if he reached out to Burmistrov… Yeah I reached out, said hope you’re feeling better and stuff like that. He said he understands it’s a hockey play. Sounds like he’s doing better, we’ll see.

ARIZONA COYOTES HEAD COACH DAVE TIPPETT On the momentum shift in the second period… When you turn the puck over and make as many poor puck mistakes as we make, there’s two ways you’ve got a chance to win. One — if you outscore your mistakes, or your goalie cleans up your mistakes, and we did neither of those tonight. Just too many puck mistakes by key players — [Alex] Goligoski, [Oliver] Ekman-Larsson. You can’t have that. I understand where we’re at and everything, but there’s a pride that you have to play with, and there wasn’t enough of that tonight.

On battling back from down one goal early in the game…

We were alright, I think chances were pretty even, we turned over some pucks there too, but we were kind of working through our mistakes. It was one of those games. We made so many errors, we just made it too hard on ourselves.

On the hit of Alexander Burmistrov… You know what, it was in a vulnerable position, but it’s a hockey hit. Burmistrov’s head is down, and it’s a hard hit, I mean, it’s a hit that happens in hockey all the time. You never like to see anybody get hurt, but I don’t think it was an intentional hit to hurt somebody. It was just a guy stepping up on a guy that was in a vulnerable position and kind of caught him with his side. Sounds like he’s going to be alright, so we’re okay.

On Burmistrov’s current status… He’s just getting some tests done, I think, but it looks like he’s doing fine.

On if Burmistrov’s will accompany the team to Buffalo… I’m not sure yet.

On the bench’s reaction to the Burmistrov hit… Well, you’re concerned for your teammate, for sure, it’s one of those things. We got word pretty quick that he was doing alright at the hospital, so it shouldn’t have bothered us.

On Peter Holland’s performance… Yeah, he’s got puck poise. He tries to make a play, he makes an NHL play, and we don’t have enough players to do that right now. He looks like he has puck poise, and when he gets it, he can make a play.

ARIZONA COYOTES FORWARD SHANE DOAN On his reaction to the hit on Alexander Burmistrov… You know, it’s one of those things that happens, you don’t really get a chance to see it, so once we see it, we’ll probably be better able to comment on it. Obviously, we never want to see anybody get hurt, especially with anything to do with the head and stuff like that. Burmy [Alexander Bermistrov] seems to be doing okay. Hopefully everything’s fine.

On whether he got a look at the hit… No, I just said that I haven’t gotten to see it yet. They didn’t have a replay on the Jumbotron, so I didn’t, other than what you see happen live. I mean, Bermy kind of gets a tough pass, and his head’s down and he gets hit hard. Unfortunately, that’s part of the game sometimes. But, yeah, I don’t really want to say one way or the other.

On whether it was tough to regroup after the hit… Yeah, it’s one of those things that’s part of our game. I was anxious to hear how he’s doing, and when you hear he’s doing good, it’s a bit of a relief and you get back to playing. We have to be a lot better on the power play, that was embarrassing.

On whether he said anything to Burmistrov before he was taken off the ice…

No, it was just, you know, make sure he’s okay. When he left, he seemed okay — not okay, but okay for a person in that position. It seemed to be, whatever, I don’t have any type of idea of anything, really.

On when the team heard that Burmistrov was okay… We talked in between periods that they had to run a bunch of tests, but everything up until that point was good. I think he’s still in the hospital, but everything that you’re really worried about seems to be okay.

ARIZONA COYOTES DEFENSEMAN JAKOB CHYCHRUN On his reaction to the hit on Alexander Burmistrov… Yeah, you know, whenever someone gets hurt like that on your team, you react accordingly. It’s tough to see, especially since I’m the one that passed him the puck. It’s tough.

On whether it was an illegal hit… I shouldn't speak about it until we see the replays and whatnot. I don’t know, it’s just a hard hit.

On whether it was tough to regroup after the hit… Sure, I mean, we can’t really use that as an excuse. I think it’s always tough to see, but at the same time, we were on the power play after that…so there’s not really many excuses for us. We have to find ways to bear down when we have the opportunities, and we didn’t tonight.

On whether the team’s spirits were lifted after hearing Burmistrov was okay… Yeah, for sure, I haven’t heard much, so it’s good to hear that, for sure.

ARIZONA COYOTES GOALTENDER MIKE SMITH On if he felt the team was okay in the first period… Yeah, I mean we’re in a one-nothing hockey game coming after one period so we were fine.

On if the shorthanded goal was the “tide turning” of the game…. Well, no save from your goaltender is the tide turning thing. I’m in a little funk right now and need to find a way to get out of it, get to work in practice, and start playing like I’m capable of playing. It all starts with me back there. Get some saves early, the first goal goes under my pad, the third goal goes under my pad. You can’t let in goals like that and chase the game all the time.

On if it was hard for the team to refocus after Burmistrov’s hit…. You never obviously want to see anyone get hurt, especially someone on your own team. When it’s as severe as that, it just maybe takes a couple of minutes for everyone to get back to playing hockey. When a hit happens like that it’s more about non-hockey related stuff that you worry about first, so I think we’re thinking about Burmi [Alexander Burmistrov] and hopefully everything’s okay.

On Burmistrov’s hit… I didn’t have a good enough angle to give an opinion on it.

On if he spoke with Burmistrov after his hit….

No, he kind of just gave the thumbs up there and had a little smile so that we good to see.

On he was in the toughest spot while the team was refocusing after Burmistrov’s hit…. It’s for everybody. You never like to see anyone get hurt, especially when the signal gets made and the paramedics come on the ice and stuff like that it’s always hard to deal with, but that’s no excuse for sure.

ARIZONA COYOTES HEAD COACH DAVE TIPPETT PREGAME MEDIA AVAILABILITY On the bizarre sequence of games as of late… It feels like a road trip. Go to Chicago, Dallas, go home for one, and go all the way out to Boston. Yeah, it’s interesting. But, it is what it is. Short flight yesterday, good skate this morning, we’re all set.

On how impressed he was after the team’s response against Buffalo… It was tough. You’re losing two players off your team that were sitting in a team meeting almost going into the game, so those were tough circumstances. But, our guys competed hard. We talked about playing hard for the guys that left. You could tell there was a bit of a lull at the start. But, we actually were doing some things well. Third period, we caught some energy and caught some breaks, and I watched the game after. I was pleased with how hard we played, so we’ve got to carry that on.

On Jordan Martinook and if he can slot up the middle… He’s been all over the place, yeah. He told me the other day, he said he wants to play a game at D here just to say he’s done it all this year. So, we’ve got some guys that move around. We’ve got him and [Josh] Jooris, and some guys that just compete hard all the time. So, we need those guys like that to make sure we’re competitive.

On if Alexander Burmistrov is available tonight… He’s available tonight, yeah. He went through practice this morning; he should be available tonight.

On what he knows about Teemu Pulkkinen… It’s funny. I watched some tape on him – I think it was last year we had talked – his name had come up and I watched him. He’s a little guy that shoots the puck well, good power play guy. We’ll get him in and integrated for a few days. He won’t play tonight. Just see where he gets to.

On what he said to the team after the Martin Hanzal trade… Well, it’s a tough situation. Nobody likes to see a teammate leave at the best of time, and then good teammates that have been around for a long time. But, it’s the situation we’re in in our organization. We know we have to continue to build and grow. When you have players on expiring contracts, those are just some of the things you have to deal with. It doesn’t make it any easier from a coaching standpoint or a teammate standpoint or a friend standpoint. But, the realty is it’s part of the business and we all have to accept it and move on. We’re in a business where you’re paid for results and you have to make sure you can take care of what you can control and

sometimes, things – you might not like it but you can’t control them, so just do what you can control.

On if Mike Smith will be in net tonight… Mike’s ready to get back at it. Yeah, we’ll see. Hopefully, he gets back in and gives us a good game tonight.

On Louis Domingue’s start against Buffalo the other night… Yeah. One of his better games in a while, yeah. Made some good saves there. Critical saves at the right time, which is kind of one of the things that have been missing this year for him, so. On if he has seen any changes from the Bruins since their coaching change… I’ve got lots going on with my team. So, obviously, their record is pretty good. They’ve got a good team there. Their top players drag them along. I know Bruce [Cassidy], he’s a real good coach. I know Claude [Julien], and he’s a real good coach. I’m sure they’re – sometimes, just a change of the voice or change of scenery like that spurs people. I think that’s what happened there.

On if Brad Richardson is available on the road trip or just along for the ride… Just along for the ride. He hasn’t been on a road trip in a long time, so that’s a good way to tell him. You tell him he’s along for the ride.

On the timeline for Brad Richardson… No, he’s getting integrated into practice now. So, if he can practice with us, he can come on the road with us.

On what he has seen from Clayton Keller… He’s a dynamic little player. I’m interested to see where it goes. Hopefully, he has a good playoff. But, he’s – from watching him last year before we drafted him to watching him in the World Junior to seeing what he’s doing this year – he’s a dynamic little player. He’s one of those guys who is not your prototypical hockey player, but he’s a player who can have a huge impact on the game. He’s going to be an interesting young guy to watch.

On what the advantage was to acquire Teemu Pulkkinen via trade rather than waivers… Because he’s cleared waivers, we have the flexibility to send him down now. He’ll have the opportunity - if we decide to send him down, he has the opportunity to play in Tucson if we want to do that.

On if he sees Pulkkinen playing in Tucson… I’m not sure yet. We’ll see.
