Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive St. John's, NL Arrive in St. John's for a four-night stay, and check in to your accommodations which are ideally located in the downtown core of this vibrant and colourful city. Meet your Tour Director or Driver/Guide and fellow travelers this evening at a Meet & Greet.

Day 2 - St. John's, & Petty Harbour Enjoy a city tour of St. John's featuring the Victorian architecture of the downtown area, the busy modern waterfront, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Confederation Building, and the panoramic view from Signal Hill National Historic Site. This afternoon, travel to nearby Cape Spear National Historic Site, the most easterly point in North America, and visit Petty Harbour, a small, picturesque fishing village. Wander around and take in the calm air of this hidden gem. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Day 3 - Day Around the Bay Enjoy a scenic drive around with stops in both Brigus and Cupids. In Brigus, visit Hawthorne Cottage, the homestead of Captain Bob Bartlett, commander of more than 20 Arctic voyages in the early and mid 20th century. See rare artefacts from his expeditions and period furnishings as you tour the cottage and explore its heritage gardens. In Cupids, visit Cupids Legacy Centre, showcasing the history of 's first English settlement. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 4 - Witless Bay + St. John's At Leisure This morning, visit Bay Bulls for one of the highlights of your trip, a boat tour in the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve to search for puffins and other seabirds. The afternoon is yours to explore St. John's at your leisure. Choose your choice of complimentary admission to the Rooms Cultural Centre, Johnson GEO Centre or Memorial University of Newfoundland Botanical Gardens. (Breakfast)

Day 5 - St. John's to Travel to Gros Morne National Park with a stop en route in Gander, the inspiration of the hit Broadway Musical "Come from Away." Enjoy lunch with Derm and Dianne Flynn, two of the Newfoundlanders who took in "Come From Aways" in the aftermath of 9/11. Visit the North Atlantic Aviation Museum before continuing on to Cow Head in the Gros Morne Area where you will check in for a four-night stay. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6 - Gros Morne Touring Spend the day touring Gros Morne National Park. Get a glimpse into the vibrant lives of inshore fishing families of coastal Newfoundland during a visit to Broom Point Fishing Premises. After free time for lunch in Rocky Harbour, visit Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse where you will enjoy a gentle medicine walk. Explore what grows in s ailments. Walk in the footsteps of those who have gone before to learn the traditional uses of plants and berries. Finally, see a wide range of marine animals and plants at Bonne Bay Marine Station, from the intertidal right down to the cold dark depths of the . Day 7 - Humber Valley and Bay of Islands Touring This scenic day of touring awaits as you tour the Humber Valley and Bay of Islands. Experience the Newfoundland Insectarium, an award-winning, interactive museum of nature situated in a restored historic building. Day 8 - Gros Morne Touring Discover more of Gros Morne National Park and enjoy a scenic boat tour on Bonne Bay. Also see the Tablelands; this mountain of flat-topped rock of a kind usually found only deep in the earth’s mantle is an awe-inspiring sight and it is what prompted the designation of Gros Morne National Park as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 9 - Depart Deer Lake Your tour concludes on arrival at Deer Lake Regional Airport (YDF) this morning. (Breakfast)
