Obituaries William "Tommy" Thomas Cordle, Jr.

William "Tommy" Thomas Cordle, Jr. was born Aug. 24, 1965 at the Live Oak Hospital. He died peacefully at The Surrey Place in Live Oak, on Dec. 31, 2020. He was 55 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents: William Thomas Cordle, Sr. and Sarah Susan Haas Cordle; sister, Cheryl Denise Cordle, nephew, Stephen "Michael" Cordle and step grandson, Dylan Austin Potter. Tommy is survived by his lifelong companion of over 38 years, Linda Douglas and her family: Lena (Ryan), Teri, Stacy (David), Timmy (Miranda), and their children, and a set of great grand triplets. Tommy’s side is survived by his two brothers, Stephen and Kevin Cordle, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends over the years. Tommy was a resident of Live Oak, an avid Gator fan, an obvious Democrat and one who loved his dogs: Dixie, Milo and Honey. He worked many jobs over the years. Mentionable is the University of Florida in Gainesville as a groundskeeper until his health declined, then he delivered for the Lake City Reporter until he could no longer walk. He has been cremated and will have a memorial service at a later date. Arrangements have been trusted to ICS Cremation & Funeral Home, located at 357 NW Wilks Lane, Lake City, Fla. 32055. Janet Clinton

Janet Clinton, age 88, of Live Oak, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020 at Suwannee Health Care in Live Oak. She was born in Thomasville, Ga., moving to Live Oak 31 years ago from Kissimmee, Fla. She worked as a commercial fisherman and loved working in her beautiful yard growing flowers and feeding the birds. Those that knew Janet Page Clinton speak of fond memories of the time spent with her. Her sister loves to speak of the times of when they were younger, picking lillies from the roadside on their way home. Another has fond memories of looking at photos and talking about the past. As for her granddaughter, Lesa, there is nothing like her hugs. Always remember to hug those you love. Her favorite verse from the bible is, Revelation 21:4, "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more. Neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Janet is survived by many friends and family that love her very much. A big thank you for everyone's kind words and support through this hard time. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021 in the Orange Baptist Church Cemetery with her granddaughter, Lesa Watkins officiating.
