Hastingwood, Matching and Village

Joanne is a Parish councillor in and actively represents local people, education and businesses. A mental health professional and school governor, she works in a non-executive position with City and Hackney NHS Mental Health Trust and is active in mental health supporting GPs and community mental health treatments locally. As a local councillor Joanne is passionate about protecting the green belt to preserve the beauty of our surrounding countryside. As a Parish councillor over the past few years, Joanne established a social network group for the elderly and works actively for the prosperity of local businesses and apprenticeships. Joanne has lived in Epping Forest for many years and has grown up children living nearby.

Last weekend, Joanne was out and about in Hastingwood, Sheering and Matching Village speaking to local residents about their concerns and issues. Residents expressed deep concerns about building on green belt and the constant threat of urban development and know that if Labour gets elected nationally the threat of urban expansion greatly increases

Joanne says “If you elect me here in Hastingwood, Matching & Sheering Village I will fight the pressures of development to protect the beauty of our area and protect our area to ensure it remains a good place to live. I will work to maintain and improve local businesses and services, doctors, schools, shops and community services and activities.” You can trust your local Conservatives to continue to move our district forward, making the best use of what we have - building on our successes and protecting all that we love about our area.
