As we approach the end of the school year, we are providing some information about technology options for the 2017-2018 school year.

In an effort to enhance your child’s educational experience, we are offering the ThinkPad YOGA 370 through Best Buy Education this year. This is the required machine for newly enrolled students and students needing to purchase a new computer. Please Note: Sagemont still supports the following devices for the 2017-2018 school year:

1. Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260 Tablet/Laptop 2. Pro 3 Tablet (SP3) 3. Lenovo ThinkPad T430 Laptop

It is recommended for returning students to have their machines re-imaged each year for best performance. If a student would like to have their machine re-imaged, they must drop their machine off to the IT Department two weeks prior to the start of the school year.

1. What is the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 370?

The YOGA 370 is a hybrid device that functions as a tablet with a or a laptop with an integrated keyboard. It is required for newly enrolled students or students who need a new laptop and can be purchased through Best Buy Education at [email protected] or call 612-292- 0439.

2. What are the models and options for the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 370?

Bundle 1 – Basic Model (the basic model is sufficient for The Sagemont School Curriculum): Hard Drive Storage capacity - 256GB; Memory - 8GB; CPU - Core i5; Warranty: 3-year, damage-protection

 Pre-Delivery Services: Sagemont’s Student Technology Image and configuration will be pre- loaded on the Lenovo ThinkPad and delivered to your home.

Bundle 2 – Upgraded Model: Hard drive storage capacity - 256GB; Memory - 8GB; CPU - Core i7; Warranty: 3- year, damage-protection

 Pre-Delivery Services: Sagemont’s Student Technology Image and configuration will be pre- loaded on the Lenovo ThinkPad and delivered to your home.

3. How will the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260 be supported?

The Sagemont School IT Department will support and assist students with warranty claims for the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260 devices.

4. How will the Microsoft 3 (SP3) be supported?

The Sagemont School IT Department will continue to support your current SP3 device. Sagemont’s IT Department will provide assistance to the Microsoft warranty, which covers students with warranty claims for tablets that were purchased through the Sagemont/CDW-G-link.

For SP3’s previously purchased outside the Sagemont / CDW-G-link, you must return the device to Microsoft Store for warranty claims.

5. How will the T430 be supported?

The T430 are supported while the Lenovo warranty covers the device.
