Careless Jewel was a little hard to handle even in her career opener. It was the last time she would be challenged. Her connections opted to go on the road for her next start, and the move proved wise. Careless Jewel was let go at 10-1 in the July 18 GII Delaware Oaks, but she handled that field with ease, duplicating her winning margin in the allowance test in an eye-catching performance. She was even more impressive despite her antics yesterday. Reunited and It Feels So Good...
