Games Overview
Canada hosted the Pan American Games in 1967 and 1999, both times in Winnipeg.
The 2015 Pan American and Parapan American Games will be one of the largest multisport events Canada has ever hosted.
The international franchise holders are the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
Held every 4 years, the Games serve for several sports as a direct qualifying event for the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.
