Building the Wall Now or Never? It does appear that the Republicans running the U.S. Senate have decided to put off fi nancing the wall at the U.S.-Mexican border until after the midterms. That was what Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell declared last week. President Trump wants the wall built and is quite frankly frustrated with Establishment Republicans who aren’t in agreement with him. It seems Members of the Saint Agrippina Society – VIVA Saint Agrippina! those Republicans, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Koch Brothers have problems with the wall issue, because many of those political activists like cheap labor from across the border to make profi ts on this side of the border. Trump was ready to go to war with the Democrats over the federal budget, but without enough allies in the Republican Senate, it appears the wall funding has been pushed off further down the road. If the Republicans can’t get the wall funded when they control the House, Senate, and White House, it looks like the issue will become the responsibility of the next generation. Ours has punted it down the line to them. Northern New England Too White? That’s what a recent page one report in the New York Times recently declared.
