After nearly four successful years on Salem's AM 560 WIND-Chicago, HOLLYWOOD 360 is now being nationally syndicated to many of the Salem Radio Network's News/Talk stations, including: WNYM-New York, KRLA-Los Angeles, WWRC-Washington DC, WGKA-Atlanta, WWTC-Minneapolis, WGUL- Tampa, WLSS-Sarasota and KNUS-Denver. HOLLYWOOD 360 is also available to non-Salem stations on a market exclusive basis, through Chicago-based radio syndicator, Syndication Networks. The show is fed live via satellite Saturdays from 8 pm- Midnight CST and can also air on a delayed basis. Chris Witting, CEO of Syndication Networks, said: "We are thrilled to be working with Carl Amari on the syndication of his show. Launching with clearances in more than 20 markets, including the top three, is a sign of even greater things to come for HOLLYWOOD 360." Each four-hour HOLLYWOOD 360 show includes classic radio shows; interviews with celebrities from today and yesteryear; reviews of the latest movie releases; listener trivia contests, and more. Phil Boyce, VP, Director Spoken Word Format, Salem Communications, said: “HOLLYWOOD 360 is the perfect weekend show. Listeners do not live by hard news alone, and this show allows a station to relax and deal with entertainment for a while. I am a huge fan of classic radio shows, and Carl has them all, as well as current Hollywood news and gossip.” Carl Amari previously created two successful syndicated shows: THE TWILIGHT ZONE RADIO DRAMAS and WHEN RADIO WAS. Both shows remain in syndication. He also licensed more than 60,000 classic radio shows for Radio Spirits, a company he founded. Amari said: “A generation or two ago, families would gather around the radio to hear these classic shows. One of my goals with HOLLYWOOD 360 is to get parents and kids to spend quality time together, enjoying these timeless comedies and dramas from the golden age of radio.” Some of the celebrities heard on HOLLYWOOD 360 include: Channing Tatum, Jim Caviezel, Stacy Keach, Malcolm McDowell, Max Von Sydow, Michael York, Jason Alexander, Harold Ramis, Richard Dreyfuss, Jane Seymour, Andy Garcia, Sean Astin, Adam West, Blair Underwood, Julia Ormond, Lou Gossett, Jr. and many more. • Findings for King Banaian and KYCR Radio
STATE OF MINNESOTA CAMPAIGN FINANCE AND PUBLIC DISCLOSURE BOARD Findings and Order in the Matter of the Complaint of Steven Timmer Regarding the King Banaian and KYCR Radio Summary of the Complaint and Response On August 5, 2010, the Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board (the Board) received a complaint from Steven Timmer regarding King Banaian (“Respondent”), a candidate for the House of Representatives in District 15B. Mr. Banaian’s principal campaign committee registered with the Board as the “King Banaian for House” committee (“the Committee”). The Complaint The allegations of the complaint may be summarized as follows: An organization named Salem Communications owns two radio stations in Minnesota. One broadcasts on AM 1280 and goes by the call letters WWTC, and carries the trade name “The Patriot”. The other broadcasts on AM 1570 and goes by the call letters KYCR. King Banaian had a weekly radio program on WWTC named The King Banaian show. At some point the program moved to KYCR where it continues to be produced and aired. The King Banaian Show is broadcast live on Saturday mornings and is repeated on Sundays in a recorded version. It is also available online in a version that may be played on demand. After he became a candidate for the House of Representatives, Mr. Banaian continued to host his radio program. KYCR includes on its website this statement regarding The King Banaian Show: King Banaian is an economist and a professor who forecasts the central Minnesota economy and has consulted governments in several foreign countries. The show looks at economic and financial news and business trends, explaining economics and political economy for the investor, the entrepreneur, and those just interested in economics with a bit of political insight.

GET MORE NEWS & UPDATES @ INSIDERADIO.COM >> FRANK SAXE [email protected] >> PAUL HEINE [email protected] (800) 275-2840 Monday, April 7, 2014 THE MOST TRUSTED NEWS IN RADIO Nielsen, CBS complete radio-TV cross-media measurement tests. Radio often gets shortchanged in the complex media mix models used by marketers to allocate millions of ad dollars. What’s being hailed as the first ever proof of concept for combined local TV and radio audience measurement could help level the playing field by providing more accurate data to correctly value the two local media in those models. Using Nielsen’s local TV and audio panels, the company collaborated with CBS to demonstrate the additive power of combining audience data from the broadcaster’s local TV and radio assets. The goal is to build a foundation that measures combined and unduplicated reach across both media. Using October 2013 data from five CBS markets, the tests fused Nielsen Audio’s PPM listening data with Local People Meter television data. Matching consumers across the two panels in each market allowed for modeling cross-platform media consumption. In some cases, using local TV and radio together doubled the reach in certain markets. In the five markets measured, an advertiser could reach anywhere from 84% to 93% of all adults 18+ within a month by leveraging the two media together. Advertisers would be able to see the benefits of combining the buying of these media and dayparts together. For instance, combining TV primetime and late news all week with morning drive radio on weekdays, an news INSIDE>> advertiser could reach 75% of adults 18-49 in Boston within four weeks.
